The buzz of his alarm cut through the silent morning, as startling as a shriek. Hunter reached over and slapped at the clock, groaning. He rolled over and wondered why he had set the alarm in the first place. He was an heir, after all, and now practically a hermit. What did he even need a clock for, for that matter?
