CHAPTER 21 “I hope my son is not being a prick to you,” Mary stated after they had placed their order. When Mary had asked her for drinks, she had literally assumed they would be crushing at some super expensive bar right in the middle of the city. Instead she had taken her to a quiet bar just outside the city. It was quite lavishly furnished but not that expensively.   “Of course not,” She half smiled as she answered.   “Come on Juliet, Byron is my son but he has got his father’s stubbornness and arrogance,” she chuckled airily. Whoa! The woman really knew her son too well.   “Well, he can be quite difficult at times but for the most part, we actually get along pretty well,” she lied through her teeth.   “That definitely doesn’t sound like Byron,” she reminisced.   Juliet laugh
