CYRUS:
Loud, panicked shouts from the near distance startle me out of my blissful state. I stumble out of bed as I go to inspect the source of the commotion. When I look out the window, my eyes go wide. I see the Alsatian pack gearing up for battle.
Brawny soldiers from the Quai pack line up getting into formation intimidatingly.
Both packs worship Helios. They take great lengths to please their God. Especially during combat. You couldn’t pay me enough to even consider doing any of their rituals.
The first thing they do is cover their bare chests in the ashes of their departed ancestors. The belief being that it will bring them protection. I’m under the mindset that it’s safer to not mess with spirits or their corpses. Especially their corpses. There’s no way around it
