Duncan     “Son, care to join us?” I heard Father call, as I hadn’t realized I stood there, staring at the door where Ella had disappeared. My heart was broken, but my wolf was strong, and so I had to be… for him.      “Sorry, Father,” I replied, joining the rest of the men. The elven guardians, along with him and Ezra, were planning a way to keep the pack protected, from setting warriors all over the borders, to sending a rescue party to the mountains, in search of the flock.      But my mind was not in it. I wasn’t paying attention, and that was something  I couldn’t afford. I was one of the best warriors; the future Beta and I had to focus.      “We have to pretend like nothing is going on while we prepare for Jareth,” Ezra mentioned, surprising me he even knew the man’s name.
