Lena Panic rose inside me as I paced around the living room waiting for Uncle to arrive. I have forwarded the message Dad sent to me regarding his return home. I was so eager for class to end, so I could return home. It's not like my affairs with my uncle will be plastered around my forehead for Dad to see. But I couldn’t help but worry. The sound of the front door opening made me halt my pacing. Uncle walked in with his briefcase by the side. “Lena.” He called. I rushed to him. “Dad will be home today,” I announced as if he didn’t already know. The nervousness or panic I thought I would see on his face wasn’t there.
