Our legs came to a halt at the unfamiliar voice. He was tall, slim wearing all black with a face cap. “Who are you?” I asked accessing him from head down. He began taking a step towards us. We held each other’s hands tightly. My heart suddenly started pounding inside. I was sure Anita’s heart was also beating fast. Shivers ran down my spine when he stood in front of us.
He then bent over and picked something from the floor. “You can’t leave without taking what you left behind right?” My eyes shifted to his hand where my bracelet was lying on his palms. I checked my hand and saw that it was missing. “Thank you,” I muffled out taking it but as I did that, I didn’t miss the way the stranger looked at me. It made me feel somehow.
