11 – The Welcoming Committee

THE sun barely showed up when Becca started her trip. She rode the first flight home. It was a journey eight years too late. She opened the window of the car on the passenger side as she drive to her destination. She had the car rented from the nearest facility as she left the airport. She already called a few before her flight. Becca put her elbow on top of the open window. She glanced at the green vegetation along the way. She missed having the wind kissed her face while on a road trip. She smiled as she inhaled the fresh air. She ate the free breakfast from the plane. It was a poor substitute from the hearty breakfast she always had but it would do for the next two hours of driving that she had to endure. She forgot to stop at a drive-thru in excitement to be home. Becca slowed
