Emberlynne, Jackson, and Willow arrived back at the Harvest Moon pack the following day. Ember's things were moved to a different room. She found it far too painful to remain in the room that she and Jonathan had shared. Jackson elected to take his meals in the room with Ember, to ensure that she did eat. She did, mostly to keep them from worrying so much about her. She had been present when they spread the ashes of Jonathan. She attempted to convince herself that it was all a terrible dream, and the next time she slept, he'd be there to wake her in the usual method that he normally would. There was no longer a war threatening to take them, though rogues were always a problem on the outskirts of the territory.
