I woke to the faint sound of whispers, the softness of the bed beneath me feeling foreign, too comfortable, too warm. For a second, I couldn’t remember where I was, my mind a fog of exhaustion and pain. Everything hurt. My body felt heavy, as if every bone had been crushed and glued back together. My throat was dry, and my stomach growled angrily, reminding me of the days I had gone without food.
A scent drifted around me…familiar, grounding, and oddly comforting. It was then I realized I wasn’t alone. Slowly, my eyes fluttered open, the little was little but enough for me to see the figures around me. Axel, Ryder, and Kade. The triplet Alphas. My mates.
