Rina's POV
I stood a few feet away from Axel, Ryder, and Kade, my body rigid, my heart pounding in my chest. I had asked them what they had done, and the silence that followed was deafening.
Their eyes shifted, each of them suddenly uncomfortable in a way that made my stomach twist.
The truth was out. They had shed blood.
‘They killed for you,’ Syl whispered in the back of my mind, her voice was soft, amplifying the dread building in my chest.
Axel clenched his fists at his sides, his jaw working as if he was fighting some inner battle. Ryder avoided my gaze, his usually sharp eyes softening, and Kade…Kade wouldn’t even stand still. His restlessness, the way he kept running his hand through his hair, told me more than any words could.
They had done something terrible.
