Don't Hurt Her

1040 Words
Evan Saturday night came and I felt anxious. Wasn't Annie supposed to go on a date with Brent? Why was I nervous? Why do I care in the first place? These questions kept circulating in my brain but I didn't feel like thinking too hard about it. I looked out the window and waited for her to come out. How late was this movie? A couple more hours went by but still no Annie. I should just go do my own thing. Why was I worried about her date? But I couldn't take it anymore. I had to know what she was up to. I was just so used yo having her my side all the time it was hard for me to leave her alone. I got my binocular out and pointed at her window. Yeah, I know what you are thinking. Creepy stalker much? Well, I've done worse things. And it's not like I am going to sit here and watch her undress. I don't get off watching n***d chicks from the distance. Besides, she has no boobs anyway. She was laying on her bed with her face down on the pillow. Her body was shaking a little. Is she crying? That's it...time to drag her out of the room. Meet me at the park. RIGHT NOW! I capitalized the text message so she knows I am serious. She came to the park in ten minutes. She was wearing her dress. She was shivering lightly. Why didn't she wear a sweater, stupid girl. I noticed her cheeks were red and her eyes were puffy as she came closer. Like she had been crying. "What? The Squirrel stood you up?" I smirked. She looked down and nodded. "So what? You've been bawling your eyes out for that dimwit? Why did he ditch you anyway?" I looked at her curiously. "He..he said Megan asked him to hang out tonight so he couldn't say no, he is taking her to the movies instead," she wiped her tears. "Who the f**k is Megan?" I demanded to know. "Megan Lowe. He said he always liked her but she never paid attention to him so he was happy when she called her," she said quietly. Oh hell no. That squirrel ditched my hamster as soon as he found another tail to chase? That shits not gonna fly with me. I was suddenly feeling furious. I wanted to twist that squirrel's neck. "Let's go," I said and grabbed her hand. "Huh? Where?" she looked surprised. "To his house," I said and dragged her to the car. I pushed her inside and shut the door. "Wait! Evan! Why are we going to his house?" Annie squealed. "To teach him a lesson, of course. What else. He thinks he can just switch girls that easily? I won't stand for it!" I declared. "But, you do it all the time?" Annie looked at me innocently. True. I was being hypocritical. I have ditched one girl for another before. Quite a few times. But this was different! I stopped the car at his driveway. We are going to wait here until he comes back from his date. "I don't get it, why did you bring me here?" Annie asked. "Just be quiet and wait for him to arrive," I said. We sat in the car for two hours while Annie pouted next to me. I saw him arrive at the house. A car dropped him off and left. He must not drive. "HEY, YOU!" I yelled at him. He was so startled that he almost tripped. "Wha...what? Evan? What are you doing in my house?" he looked scared. I strode toward him with Annie behind me. I caught up to him and grabbed him by his collar. "You...how dare you ditch Annie!" I roared. Brent flinched. "Ah...um...I don't understand. I didn't ditch her," he stammered. "Did you, or did you not ask her out tonight?" I asked. "Yes?" he looked at me questioningly. He was starting to sweat despite the cold weather. "Then why the f**k were you with some tramp named Megan? What does she have that Annie doesn't!" I demanded answers. I raised my fist like I was going to hit him. "Is it because she has no t**s?" I asked. "EVAN!" Annie protested from behind. Oops, that came out wrong. "I...I...I don't know! Look, man, I wasn't trying to hurt Annie. She is just not my type," Brent said nervously. "NOT YOUR TYPE?" I yelled. "What's not your type? She is smart, Sweet, and Cute. And that's not your type? You are one to talk. You look like a goddamn petrified squirrel!" I said and poked him on the chest. He stumbled backward but didn't fall. What a shame. "Evan, let him go. Let's just go home," Annie finally spoke behind me. Her voice sounded high pitched. "Be quiet Annie this is between me and Brent," I said to her and turned back to Brent. "Are you gonna date her or not?" I asked him with gritted teeth. I don't know why I was so angry. "I...I can't..I.." Brent started to blabber. He looked like he was about to go through a cardiac arrest. I don't blame him. Most people were scared of at school and he was no exception. "EVAN STOP IT!" Annie screamed. I let go of Brent and looked at her. "You can't force him to date me so just stop it. Please!" she pleaded. "I don't want to go out with him anyway. We are just friends. Right Brent?" she looked at Brent. "Y...yes. I am sorry Annie. I swear I didn't mean to make you feel bad. I wanted to be upfront and tell you about her but I couldn't muster up the courage to say it sooner. Could you please tell Evan not to beat me up?" he said. His eyes were still huge with fear. Pathetic loser. "Get inside the house. I better not see your face near my Annie again," I said calmly. Brent nodded and scurried off immediately. Annie looked at him running with a horrified expression on her face then looked back at me. She looked shocked at my behavior and honestly, I was shocked myself.
