Before noon, we've cleaned the whole house and folded the laundry. Luke finally put on his shirt and took my overnight bag from me.
I locked my door and followed Luke to the elevator. When we entered, he pressed the ground floor button and stood close to me. He took my hand and held it. I looked down at our locked hands and then his face in surprise.
" I thought we're keeping it low, Luke?" I asked him and looked pointedly at our hands.
" There's no one around, babe. So relax." He grinned and kissed my temple. Then, when the door opened, he let go of my hand and walked out as if nothing happened.
He went to his sports car and tossed my bag at the back. He opened my door, and I slid in. It's a good thing there's no one around. Nobody saw me get into Luke Davies' car.
