Episode 14

Seema’s POV

King Mahesh came near me and said, “don’t worry about anything, I am only one call away from you,” and walked away from there and as soon as he crossed the door, they started shouting at me saying that I tried to woo him and all, but suddenly I saw my son standing at the entrance.

He came inside and said, “I tried to woo him, do you have any problem? Don’t even try to raise your finger towards my mom in any way, I won’t even think for a second to cut those tongues and fingers,” and covered me with his hand and walked out of the hall and said, “sorry, I should have informed you before.”

“No Vikram, no need to inform me of anything, it is your kingdom, you can take any decision,” I said, hugging him.

The next day I came to know that he spends a few hours near the river talking to the water and feels as if he is talking to his father, but I don’t mind if he is happy talking to the water or anything else.

One night, suddenly Padma, my maid came to me running and informed me that somebody has attacked on us and are killing our army and at that time I didn’t understand what to do, I ran into Vikram’s room and woke him up and said, “somebody attacked on us,” and he rubbed his and looked at me for some time and asked, “what did you say?”

“Vikram, somebody attacked us and they are killing our army,” I said and he stood up and took his sword and ran towards the entrance and signaled his army by his code whistle and in no time all our army gathered at the entrance and started to fight with the attackers.

I didn’t understand what to do as my army is very less compared to others and I know Vikram can’t handle them alone and then suddenly I remembered King Mahesh and dialed his number ignoring the fact that it is midnight, but luckily he answered the call.

As soon as I informed him about the attack, he just said, “don’t worry,” and disconnected the call.

“Queen, they are saying that they were King Mahesh’s army,” said one maid coming towards me like running.

“Did they say that in front of Vikram?” I asked and she nodded yes.

“Vikram is never going to believe their words nor me,” I said sternly and took the sword and walked outside and till then Vikram was severely injured and was about to fall and I ran towards him and held him tightly to prevent him from falling and saw that attackers were falling one by one.

One person came and stood in front of me and said, “King Mahesh will be here in some time, let me help him till the room,” and took Vikram to his room and called the doctor.

I looked at him and asked, “are you his army chief?” and he smiled and nodded yes and after some time his son came and stood beside him. I looked at him and he smiled looking at me and introduced himself as Nihal and said that he liked our kingdom and wanted to stay here only and I laughed at his words and asked, “what is your age?” and he came near me and said, “I am just 12 years old, but I know horse riding and sword fighting.”

The doctor came and started treating Vikram and said, “he is injured severely and it will take time for him to heal, and it will take time for him to gain consciousness as well,” and covered all his wounds and handed over some medicines to me and walked away from there.

Nihal came and stood in front of me and said, “don’t worry, I will take care of his medicine,” and took medicines in his hand and ran towards Vikram and I looked at his father and said, “he is a sweet boy, but I think you should take him with you.”

“Queen, King Mahesh will be here in some time and we will be staying here till he returns,” he said and walked away from there leaving Nihal with Vikram and he was sitting beside him and looking at him intently and talking to him as if he could listen to him. I went near him and ruffled his hair and said, “he can’t listen to you, boy,” and he said, “then I will tell him everything when he gains consciousness,” and gave his beautiful smile.

After some time King Mahesh entered the palace and went directly to Vikram’s room and called the doctor and enquired about his health condition and came near me and said, “I will be here till he gains consciousness, you just relax,” and went and sat near Vikram.

It took almost 10 days for Vikram to gain consciousness and till then King Mahesh took care of him like a father and never allowed me to come near Vikram. After he regained consciousness also, the King took care of him till he was able to walk.

When he was about to return, he came near me and said, “if I had the daughter, I would have married her to Vikram,” and went away from there.

From that time, we were indebted to him and we could never say no to him, but he never asked for any favor till now and Nihal returned after three years and started to stay with us and Vikram made him his personal bodyguard. He just works for Vikram, he won’t even listen to me.

My Vikram was always a loving and caring person, but Naina cheated him, but he forgave her, and protected her and then this Sarah also cheated him, but he didn’t break, but became stronger and stronger.

When I needed my dad’s support most, he took a step back and never came forward to support me in any way, but Vikram forgave him as well, and when my brother was killed and my dad was alone, he sent me here to take care of him. I hate my dad, but I am still staying with him as he has given birth to me.

He is doing fine now, and I am planning to return in a few days. I hope everything goes well and I reach my Vikram. I just want to fly away from here and stand in front of Vikram and hug him tightly. I am missing him a lot.

Vikram’s POV

    I reached my chamber and saw Chhavi was still sleeping, it’s just 5 in the morning and she usually wake up at 6, so, I went into washroom and did my morning chores and went in the backyard and called Pawan and said, “make the ground ready for tomorrow, I want to practice,” and started to do my exercises.

    I have become lazy these days and have stopped practicing and doing exercises. I don’t know why these ladies entered my life, they just spoiled my daily routine.

    I did my exercises for nearly two hours and entered the room and saw Chhavi was cleaning the room. I slowly went into the room without her notice, I just wanted to surprise her and see her reaction.

    I came out of the washroom after bathing and saw she was looking at the books intently, but had not opened a single book. I slowly went and stood in front of her and she looked at me in shock and jumped out of the bed.

“I didn’t know that books can be read without opening also,” I said and she came near me and touched my biceps and asked, “did you practice or do exercise?”

“Chhavi, don’t try to divert the topic,” I said, but she slowly came near me and hugged me tightly and this was the first time she initiated and I was not able to control myself and hugged her back immediately and kissed on her forehead and asked, “did you miss me?”

    “A lot and lot,” she said and kissed my chest and I broke the hug and said, “I should not kiss my tee, you should kiss me,” and she smiled looking at me and asked, “do you have work today or you are going to relax?”

    “I have some work,” I said remembering the site I have to visit and came out of the room and called Nihal and asked, “where are you?”

    “King, I am at the site, here I saw one house, which is very old, but it can be repaired within no time,” he said.

    “Okay, I am coming,” I said and disconnected the call.
