“Vikram, I came to know that Queen Naina was murdered. I am sorry that I was not near you when you needed me the most,” said Queen Seema, his mother on the call, as she was away from him because of her father's illness.
“It’s okay, mom. I think your dad needs you at this time,” said Vikram.
“If you want I can come,” said the Queen, but Vikram cut her off and said, “Mom, your father is ill and he needs you, here people are there to take care of the remaining rituals.”
“Yeah that is true,” she said with a sad voice and disconnected the call.
“King,” said Nihal, coming inside and bowing his head.
“Now what information do you have?” Vikram asked and Nihal smiled and said, “you would have involved me in your plan.”
“I never involve anybody in my plan,” said Vikram arising from his seat.
Nihal thought for some time and said, “King Mahesh has come to meet you.”
Vikram thought for some time and walked downstairs and smiled looking at Mahesh.
“I am so sad to hear about your loss,” said Mahesh with a smile.
“So, you got to know about it?” asked Vikram, taking a seat in front of him.
“Is it going to matter in any way?” asked Mahesh and Vikram smiled and asked, “when are you going to get married again?”
“Soon,” said Mahesh.
“Why can’t you behave like a normal man?” asked Vikram.
“I was always normal, but everybody cheated me,” said Mahesh, getting angry and arose from the seat and started to walk outside.
“Came to know that nobody is willing to give you their daughters?” asked Vikram.
“When you are on the same path, don’t you think you should not ask such questions?” asked Mahesh with a smirk and started to go away from there.
“How am I on the same path as you?” Vikram asked and Mahesh turned towards him and said, “didn’t you kill your queen?”
Vikram started laughing and said, “I will never make my hands dirty with the tainted blood,” and Mahesh looked at him shocked and asked, “how come my informers give me wrong information.”
“Because your people are not working properly,” said Vikram smiling.
“Then who killed her and why are you calm?” asked Mahesh.
“I know who killed her and why, because I was the one who created the situation for her death. She thought she could do anything behind my back, but forgot this is my palace and here only two people are working for her and the rest are working for me,” said Vikram.
“You are a good planner and a good actor as well,” said Mahesh smiling.
“I didn’t plan anything, but she forced me to do that, she started to become a bad example for my kingdom,” said Vikram and Mahesh looked at him confused.
“We got married four years ago and you know that, for one year we were good, after that she started to stay away from me, I thought she needs space and I also became busy with my work and later I came to know that she was playing with me and you know I let her play for three long years, and then last month I came to know that she is pregnant, and I didn’t had any other choice than eliminating her because I didn’t want that bastard to be born as a prince,” said Vikram curling his fingers into a fist.
“Why did you kill that innocent person?” asked Mahesh and Vikram started laughing and said, “he was not innocent, he and his wife were arranging their meetings.”
“Where is her boyfriend then?” asked Mahesh looking at him confused.
“He died after killing her, he loved her for money and I froze all her accounts and made her penniless, which may have led to their fight and he killed her,” said Vikram calmly making himself comfortable on the couch.
“Don’t you think you are more dangerous than me?” asked Mahesh.
“I am not at all dangerous, if she would have not become pregnant, I would have never killed her,” said Vikram.
“How does it matter whether she is pregnant or not?” asked Mahesh and Vikram looked at him and asked, “doesn’t it matter? Then why did you kill your queens?”
“They were pregnant before marriage,” said Mahesh and Vikram smirked looking at him and Mahesh understood what he was trying to say and said, “you win gentleman,” and went away from there.
“Vikram it has been three months and I think you should get married,” said the Queen on the call.
“It has been only three months, mom. Don’t you think we should wait at least one to two years,” said Vikram, getting irritated.
“We have already chosen one girl, she will fit perfectly in our palace as a queen,” said Seema and Vikram thought for some time and asked, “is she that special?”
“I mean, she is your father’s friend’s daughter, and he is ready to get her married to you,” said Seema.
“So, you don’t know anything about her,” said Vikram.
“If the family has good values, then don’t you think they will teach their daughter good values only?” asked Seema.
Okay, I will meet her after two months as I am busy with some work, said Vikram and was about to disconnect the call.
“Tomorrow at 4 pm and I already gave an appointment to them,” said Seema.
“Mom, it is not fair, at least give me some time to think,” said Vikram.
“I am giving you 24 hours time, isn’t it enough, and if everything goes well you are going to get married next week,” said Seema and disconnected the call.
“Mom,” shouted Vikram and threw mobile on the floor.
Nihal came and stood in front of him and asked, “do you want any help?”
“No, if she has already decided then I don’t want to go against her,” said Vikram and walked out of the house and looked at the driver.
Driver settled on the seat and looked at Vikram as he had not given any instructions.
“Go to any peaceful place,” said Vikram and closed his eyes.
After some time the driver stopped the car at the beach and said, “King, we are at the beach,” and Vikram opened his eyes and looked at the beach and came out of the car and went and sat on the chair.
He looked at the water for some time and thought, “you said you will be always with me, but you were not there when Naina was cheating behind me and now also you are not here when mom is forcing me to get married to another girl.”
Suddenly he felt cool air touching his face and closed his eyes and thought, “I want love, I want peace, I want some innocence in my life.”
“It depends on you,” said the voice and Vikram opened his eyes and looked at the water and said, “I will have kids as soon as I get married,” and the voice started laughing and he looked at the water confused and thought, “dad, you have become mad,” and walked towards the car.
The driver asked, “what did you dad say?”
“He has become mad,” said Vikram and looked for his mobile and then remembered he already broke that mobile.
The driver handed him the mobile and said, “Nihal came and gave this mobile.”
“I don’t know why he cares for me that much,” thought Vikram and took the mobile from the driver's hand.
“King, he was asking whether the new queen will be staying in the same chamber or we have to arrange the other chamber for her?” asked the driver.
“She will stay with me as I want kids,” said Vikram looking at his emails.
The driver looked at him through the rear mirror and smiled.
“Now stop smiling and concentrate on your driving. I know you all are enjoying my misery,” said Vikram.
“No king, we are all just concerned about you,” said the driver.
