Oh, f**k. She's gonna explode, I thought, as I saw Caroline reacting to me and Gavin denying her more alcohol. Her face was literally turning red, both from anger and drunkenness. She looked like Inside Out's Rage.
However, I stood my ground: letting her continue to drink would have been way too dangerous. She already stood unsteadily on her legs and had a hard time controlling her emotions: given her nature and her powers, I didn't want to find out what would happen if she were completely wasted.
Only Gavin and I knew who and what she really was; all of the others were just innocent humans who believed her to be a rich London girl. No one knew how important, nor how dangerous, she was.
