Destruction

Unknown POV Those foolish beings actually thought they stood a chance. If anything, they were just serving themselves up on a golden platter to us. Not only will I obtain the power of the great rulers locked within the unicorn kingdom, but I will also acquire the fire, ice, and earth Crystals. The unicorn, in her foolishness, brought them all to me. She was one of them, and her mate will be the one to retrieve hers for me. For centuries, we have lived in the shadows, but that soon comes to an end. This hidden palace, undetected for centuries, will soon be known as the ruling power within this realm. I stood up and looked out of the window within the mountain, feeling the cold stone beneath my fingertips. The view stretched out towards the fire dragon kingdom. Those weak dragons may have stood a chance, but they chose to align themselves with weaklings, creating kingdoms with wolves and hybrids. "It won't be long now before your kingdom turns to dust," I whispered, the words hanging in the air. A knock interrupted my thoughts, followed by the entrance of one of my loyal lycan guards. "My King, Feather has arrived," he announced. "Send her in," I responded, the sound of my voice echoing through the room. The door opened, and the water fae woman entered. "I have come with updates," she said. "They better be good," I responded, motioning for her to take a seat. As she sat down. "The lycan has returned with the unicorn. She was able to obtain the third key," the water fae woman spoke, her words filling the room. "It is clear the lycan knows his demon side is awake, but he has not noticed that he is under the demon clan spell," she continued. A wicked smile crossed my lips. "Good. It won't be long before he comes to us then," I said, the anticipation tingling in my veins. "What of the unicorn?" I asked, my voice laced with curiosity. "Is she still lacking control?" "Yes," she replied, her voice tinged with a hint of concern. "But with only one key left, she is growing stronger. However, her weakness lies in her family and mate. She would sacrifice almost anything for them, as I have witnessed." "And what about her bond with the lycan?" I inquired further, my interest piqued. "Their bond is strong," she responded, her voice holding a note of certainty. "The two of them are deeply connected. Yet, I believe part of it stems from the lycan's fear of losing her. It's clear he also fears that his emotions could harm her." Rising from my seat, I walked over to the desk and opened the drawer, retrieving a vial. "We must create a splinter between them," I explained. "To ensure that their bond does not interfere with our plans." I held out the vial, the liquid inside glistening ominously. "Snake venom, concentrated and untraceable. It will weaken one at first, followed by excruciating pain. While not deadly, an antidote is needed to alleviate the suffering. Slip this into the unicorn's food and convince the lycan that her pain and weakness are due to him." I tossed the vial to her, and she hesitated for a moment, studying it carefully. "Remember what is at stake, little fae," I reminded her, my voice firm. "If you want your mate to see the light of day, you must carry out every task without failure." Nodding her head, she understood the gravity of the situation. "For now, focus on luring the lycan to us. The spell he breathed in at the beach will make it impossible for him to resist the urge of his dark power. And once trouble arises with his mate, he should come to us willingly." "But what about her family?" she questioned, concern etched in her voice. "They will try to stop Chaos from coming." A sly smile crept onto my face as I revealed my plan. "That King of yours is about to face a demon clan army," I replied, my voice filled with anticipation. "If her family truly cares for King Jade, they will soon be rushing to aid him." "You promised no harm to King Jade." She whispered. "His life will be spared," I assured her, my tone filled with dark amusement. "But I never said he wouldn't face my army.” "Has anyone suspected you are working for us?" I asked her. She shook her head, her eyes darting around the room. "No, even the portal coins given to me have not been detected. Although the vampire with them is sharp and has been keeping an eye on things, I am certain he does not know," she responded. "Good. It is of great importance that the Lycan comes to us. You must act fast, little fae. And once we have the Lycan as promised, your mate will be released," I said. "What is it you plan to do with him?" she asked, her voice tinged with concern. I couldn't help but laugh, amused by her reaction. "Do you care for him, fae?" I inquired, my voice dripping with skepticism. "He is kind, he is unlike what you made him out to be," she defended. "He is far from kind, in fact, he is more a monster than any other member of this clan. He may be putting on an act for that unicorn, but we have kept an eye on him for a long time. Every moment, even in the prison, he was watched. He was made to be broken, for his role to us is of great importance," I explained, my tone filled with certainty. "He is supposed to be the savior of this realm. Do you really believe you can stop his destiny?" the fae challenged, her voice wavering. "Savior," I choked out, unable to contain my laughter. "He is no savior, little fae. I'll even show you, for his future is no secret," I declared as I walked to my desk again and pulled out old documents. "Those look like the ones from the Dragon Kingdom," she observed, her eyes widening. "That would be because they are. Missing pages, for the predicted future has two outcomes, little fae. One that was predicted first, and the other when the unicorns tried to meddle. This is the Lycan's true destiny," I revealed, allowing her to examine the documents. The room fell silent, the weight of the revelations settling upon her. I stood over her, the dim light casting shadows on the worn drawings and weathered script. Pointing to the intricate illustrations, I explained, "As you can see, a lycan born of two of the strongest bloodlines: the dark lycans from the demon realm and the guardian lycans of the fae realm." A musky scent filled the air as I continued, "A creature that should never exist, for he not only possesses the strength and dark gifts from our clan, but also the formidable power and awareness from the guardian bloodline." "The beast within him is the strongest to ever exist. He could single-handedly annihilate an entire army if consumed by the need to kill." Leaning closer, I revealed the true extent of his abilities, "His guardian power allows him to absorb the strength and power of others. And not only that, by merging their powers with his own, he becomes even more lethal." Looking into her eyes, I posed the crucial question, "Do you wish for such a being to roam freely?" She hesitated, uncertainty etched on her face. "I don't know," she finally admitted, her voice barely a whisper. I gestured to the drawings, their faded lines speaking volumes. "It is said that he is the harbinger of destruction in this realm. He was hidden, not to obtain power in the unicorn kingdom, but to keep him far away from it. If he is not properly contained and controlled, no one will survive once he gains that power." To confirm the authenticity of the documents, I urged her to use her innate fae abilities. "I know the power within you can detect traps, little fae. Use it on these documents, for you can sense if they are real or if they have been tampered with." She followed my instructions, her delicate fingers tracing the ancient parchment. "They are real," she whispered, her voice filled with fear. "But you, containing and using him, will bring just as much destruction," she admitted, her voice tinged with concern. "We seek a place out of hiding in this realm, the only destruction we will cause is to those who oppose our kingdom and our kind walking free here," I responded. As she looked down, her fingers trembled slightly, a sign of her unease. I knew she sensed the imminent threat and danger we posed, but the lycan, he was far worse, and he belonged to us. We knew just how to control him. "What of the unicorn? What will you do with her?" she asked. "It is none of your concern, other than her life will not be taken, but her power is of use to us," I replied. I could tell she was having second thoughts, her eyes reflecting her inner turmoil. "Shall I send the guards into your mate to motivate you, little one? If you care for your mate, I suggest you forget about the unicorn and the lycan," I said, my voice low and threatening. She nodded again, a small gesture of submission. "Now return, you have three days, and if the lycan does not come to us, your mate's life will be ended," I threatened, the atmosphere growing colder with each passing moment. "I won't fail," she responded, determination lacing her words. The water fae departed as I settled into my seat. I was confident that the lycan would soon join us, and once he did, everything would align perfectly. Just then, my guard entered once more, his footsteps echoing softly in the room. "The final key is heavily guarded. We will notify you of any signs of activity," he informed me. "Very well," I replied, my voice resolute. "Though I believe the lycan will arrive before the unicorn obtains the last key. Keep a watchful eye on the fire dragon kingdom and report any and all activity." With that, my guard departed. I stood up and approached the window. "I look forward to our encounter, Chaos. Your name befits you perfectly, as you shall bring forth immense chaos," I whispered, a taste of our future victory lingering on my tongue.
