“Thanks for getting me out of there,” Alyssa said, looking sideways at Dylan whose eyes were on the road as he drove. She waited with baited breath for his response, hoping he wasn’t angry over her ignoring him for the last day. Dylan merely shrugged nonchalantly, broodingly staring at the road ahead. Alyssa knew she’d have to be the one to issue an apology for her bratty behaviour. He’d just been worried about her and she’d been rude. “And I’m sorry… for the way I’ve been acting. I just got defensive when you started asking me… questions,” Alyssa admitted, eyes downcast. There were a few beats of silence before Dylan finally spoke. “There’s nothing to be sorry about, I shouldn’t have pried into your personal business,” Dylan finally said as he turned the car onto their packlands
