CHAPTER FOUR

-Clein's POV- I never imagined the rogue's hunting season would be truly horrible. The hunt started as the sun rose from the east, casting orange hues across the broad sky, peaking through the dense limbs of the trees. Mad wolves in their immense wolf forms charged forth from all directions, aiming at the Omega Slaves and royal she-wolves with their stretched fangs and keen claws. Rogues in human form quickly followed suit. We were caught off guard, and some of us were cornered before they even had a chance to run and hide. Cc, the woman I was speaking with, grabbed my arm and yanked me into the thicker scrubs. A second later, the entire woods was filled with gunfire, growls, and piercing screams. My stomach tightened uncomfortably as I watched those mad drooling wolves shred the Omega's (whom they had captured) limbs apart from where we were scurrying As a result, the rogues stationed their efforts on the royal she-wolves they had captured. Crying out for aid, the poor women were held to the ground, their garments torn apart, as those sons of a f*****g b***h brutally pressed themselves into them while laughing malevolently like monsters. While seeing those horrible images from my angle, my entire body began to shiver as rage exploded in the pit of my gut. How could those bastards be so despicable? They're merciless. Savage. Psychopaths! My heart was beating rapidly, and I could hear it in my ears. Moon Goddess knew I wanted to aid those women but had no idea how. 'f**k!' I chanted, grasping my hair hard. No, I wasn't terrified because the rogues didn't make me anxious but, I couldn't endanger the lives of the other she-wolves hiding in the thickets. "We need to get out of here," Cc rasped between clenched teeth in an earnest tone. Her fury flashed in her eyes, but she, like me, appeared to be adept at controlling her emotions and choosing to utilize her wits in difficult situations. I nodded instantly. Those ferocious beasts' concentration was focused on their victims, but we all knew that after they were finished having fun, they would seek out new prey. Yes, we need to get away from them as quickly as possible! Despite our pallid appearances, I and CC sent hand signals to the remaining Omega slaves and royal she-wolves. We waited a few seconds before sneaking away from the rogues and ferocious mad wolves. A few minutes later, we came to a stop due to two narrow pathways. "This way!" one of the Omega slaves cried anxiously, turning to the left where the borders could protect us from suppression. Except for CC, who had a habit of grabbing my arm and dragging me in the opposite direction, everyone followed her right away. My brow wrinkled. What the f**k? Is she legally blind? Why is she bringing me down the right path after seeing the others turn left? Didn't she realize we'd be separated from them? "I heard there's a small waterfall with a cave inside, and this is the only way out," she explained hoarsely, dragging me along with her. "We need to find it right now." However, I stayed unpersuaded and unhooked my arm from her firm grip, bringing us both to a complete stop. "How about them?" I inquired with a stern tone, alluding to our companions who took the other direction. "Will we abandon them?" She scoffed and turned to face me with an abrasive expression. "Would you want to be their hero? Do you wish to help them?" She snarled and shook her head before saying, "Then f*****g go back and run with those losers for all I care!" My jaw dropped open with disbelief as I stared at her. 'She witnessed what occurred back there. What the motherfuckers did to those unfortunate women. How could she be so cruel?' My hands curled up, and I was about to snarl back, when she further stated, "I know you can fight and even beat those Brutus hunters without breaking a sweat, but what about those mad wolves? Can you fight them squarely? I doubt it!" She grunted strongly, which startled me. She is, after all, correct. Mad wolves are more ferocious and bestial than other wolves. They are more aggressive and ruthless than the rogues, and they slaughter their victims brutally. Nonetheless, I declined to forsake those who needed assistance. "I'm sorry; I don't want to leave them," I indicated under my breath whilst shooting CC an icy glare. "If your conscience can take it, run on your own!" I swung around and was set to rush to where the other she-wolves were when indignant growls and screeches from the west side of the woods struck me and pinned me in place. My eyes widened and my entire body trembled with apprehension. No. Those monstrous creatures. They had them! "Well, it appeared like you were already late, sweetie," Cc grinned cynically behind me. "Those mutts are going to hunt the two of us shortly, so why don't you join me and we get out of this miserable territory, huh?" While hearing the unsettling screams, begging, and bellows not far away, I held out in my spot, unsure what to do. Every whimper and plead my ears caught triggered goosebumps in my being and intensified my disdain for those motherfucking devils. "Geez, you're so stubborn!" Cc's patience wore thin. She inhaled sharply, and I heard loud snapping sounds and an immense thump on the ground from behind me. She probably changed into her wolf form before racing away. It took a few seconds for me to release an annoyed grumble and turn away from the cries of the Omega slaves and royal wolves. My heart grieved for them, but I had no option. "I'm very sorry," I murmured, my voice tinted with sorrow. I then threw off my leather jacket and sprang into the air. All of my bones popped one by one with brittle noises, and in a matter of seconds, I morphed into Ninja's mixed black and white wolf. As soon as my hooves pounded the earth, I dashed forward, not looking back. _______________ (Third Pov) "Damn it!" "Those foolish dogs merely scare our prey away," Torch Gunnar murmured, staring through the rear sight of his weapon. He was on his tummy on the turf, atop a small cliff, watching a group of Omega slaves and royal she-wolves being pursued by their warriors. On his right side, Blaze Gunnar smirked as he looked through a binocular. He beheld what Torch was talking about from the west side of the foliage, and when his gaze turned to the east, he noticed two of their quarries in wolf form heading towards the waterfalls. "How about splitting up, bro? You go east, and I'll chase those w—." His remarks were cut short when Torch shot up, jumped down the cliff, and growled, "You can't deceive me, asshat!" The third Gunnar chuckled, amusement flashing across his eyes as his brother took the west side of the woods. "What a moronic mutt," he exclaimed, shaking his head. Torch, as he expected, is relatively easy to read and utilize. A sneer appeared on Blaze's lips as he began to move. With an elated expression on his face, he slipped down the small trail on the mountain and proceeded east. "Two f*****g birds with one stone: The Creed and the Moon, here I come, bitches!" However, just as he was about to catch up to his prey, a bullet pierced his right shoulder, causing him to grunt in surprise as the impact sent him flying into a nearby tree. His spine crushed into the hard trunk before he fell into the wood bed with a loud thud. "Who the f**k shot me!" he roared angrily, grabbing his bleeding wound. A tall figure sprang out of the top of a massive moss-covered boulder a few meters away and dismounted a few paces away. Sun, the eldest Gunnar, exposed himself in merely washed blue pants, clutching his contemporary rifle firmly. Blaze's eyes glowed with rage and he growled, "I should have known it was you!" "f**k you, Brother!" Blaze scowled at him with disgust. "I will make sure that you pay for this!" Sun simply waved his hand, dismissing him and turning to face the direction of small waterfalls. With an indecipherable expression on his face, he summoned his assistant/second in command, who had been standing behind him. "Blister, I accidentally shot my little brother; please bring the brat into the infirmary before I kill him," he stated nonchalantly. Mr. Blister, a wolf in his sixties with grey hair and a bit crinkled skin, shook his head. He had been their father's greatest friend before becoming Gunnar's butler. He didn't say anything and merely followed his master's commands. Sun listened to his stepbrother curse him before Blister dragged him away. When he was finally alone, a faint crooked grin formed on the corners of his mouth. He drew the rifle's strap around his body and walked towards his prey. "It's time to track down my future w***e!"
