Chapter 55 : Sirena I
-Raizen-
Gosh! This world is really infiltrated by these men… I mean, did Lucio just took half of the population and made them his army? I thought as we rested ourselves on the shore after we drove them all away. There were many of them, and they were armed with so much equipment, yet we still managed to defeat them.
I guess we have grown so much now ahahaha that’s a good thing. I feel like I become so many things in this game. I’m starting to love it despite being trapped here in the first place. I just looked at the others as they talked about something while laughing with each other. I just smiled, even though I wasn’t listening at all.
It’s just so relaxing on this beach, I feel so comfortable. Just a perfect place to rest after a tiring battle against a ton of Lucio’s armies. Well, I deserve this after all. I just kept on smiling so that it'd seem as if I was listening to them and that my face would look accurate about what they’re talking about.
I just don’t feel like talking right now. I just wanted to feel this moment where I was very relaxed. I don’t care about them right now, I just don’t want them to think that I don’t like what they’re talking about ahahaha. Gosh, I feel like I’m falling asleep any minute by now. It just feels so complacent, all my weariness is going away.
“Yea, isn’t it weird… I know there should be a water guardian, just like those I have watched in movies…” Enzo said that caught my attention. I didn’t want to listen to them at all, but what he said made my ears become attentive and made sure to hear what they were going to talk about.
“I thought about that too… look, if the forest has a diwata to guard it, the sea should have at least someone to guard it from those men, right? Isn’t it the siyokoy that we just defeated a while ago?” Avery said, suggesting something about what he just thought about all of it.
“No, it shouldn’t be the siyokoy, if it was… it shouldn’t have gone attacking us, right?” Elliot said, disagreeing with Avery about what he thought about the siyokoy.
“You have a point… or maybe there isn’t, we’re just thinking about things too much”, Avery said, agreeing with Elliot.
"Or maybe it was the mermaid that they took!" Lucy cut herself in, suggesting the mermaid being captured which vanished into our thoughts after getting too busy fighting off some crazy men.
"Oh yea... makes sense" Avery said, nodding his head and agreeing with Lucy
"And that has something to do about a quest that we'll be finding out later?" Reiven added to the idea that Lucy brought to the table.
"Oh finally, you said something useful" I scoffed and chuckled, then he just tugged my back, pushing me softly.
“But I don’t even understand why they left their boat there… maybe we could use that to transport ourselves if we need it, right?” Scarlett said, bringing up the topic of the boat that was left on the sea with no one in it. Those men jumped off the water and swam to the shore as they escaped us…
"Or find something that can help us connect the pieces", Avery said, going along with what Scarlett mentioned.
“Let’s go check it out…” Reiven said as he stood up, inviting everyone to go after him.
“Shouldn’t we get to the village first?” Lucy asked, telling us about our mission before checking the boat.
“Let’s check it quickly and then proceed with our quest…” Reiven insisted. Then we all followed him towards it. The boat is kinda far from us so we needed our boat to get to it.
The boat seemed really big though. I wonder what kinds of things they are hiding in there. I just stared at it until we got near it. It was just floating freely above the water while being anchored on the shore. If we could get some things from that boat, I'm excited to see what's in it.
"The boat kinda looks big..." Avery said as we slowly approached it. Some started climbing in and helping the others get on board as well.
"Maybe we could split up to see whatever we can find in there," Elliot said as he wandered his gazes around the whole thing. "That could be beneficial, and save time", he added.
"Just... if anyone gets in trouble and needs help, just ask for it", Vic added to what Elliot said. We all went our ways trying to see what was in there, or what we could find that could lead us to something. I wonder if this is part of the main mission, or just some side quests, but I feel like we need to do this.
This boat looks to be in very good condition. If this was in real life, this would be such a waste to abandon. Everything here looks nice. I mean, they should be. It's not an old ruin or anything. They literally just used it earlier before they all escaped and ran off. Anyway, I passed through some doors, opening them and seeing what was inside. But they're just empty rooms without ay useful things, let alone a mermaid. I made sure to touch and interact with some things, yet they just didn't respond. So meaning, there's nothing in it to see.
This boat is really good. I hope to use it. As I can see, this can be a very useful thing to use, especially when traveling through water, so we don't have to row and all.
The moment I stepped onto the hallway, I felt like I had just claimed a beast of war—one built for gods, not men. The boat was massive, far larger than any vessel I'd ever set foot on, its hull a fortress of dark steel and reinforced plating. Even abandoned, it radiated a quiet menace, like a sleeping leviathan waiting for its next battle. That's why I wanted to get a hold of it.
Its design was sleek yet brutal, a perfect blend of form and function. The prow jutted forward like the blade of a war ax, etched with faded insignias that whispered of past glories. Turrets, dormant but intact, lined the flanks, their barrels still aimed at some long-forgotten enemy. The main deck stretched out like an open battlefield, wide enough to launch drones or house heavy artillery, yet eerily silent under the weight of its past.
I moved deeper, past the rust-tinged railings and into the heart of the vessel. The corridors were tight but sturdy, the walls laced with old tactical screens and control panels that flickered to life as I passed. Whoever built this thing, they didn’t just make it strong—they made it last.
Then came more rooms. Not just cramped bunkers for weary soldiers, but full-fledged quarters, each built with a sense of purpose. A command center, still humming with residual power. A war room, with a long, scratched-up table where battle plans must have once been drawn. A hangar bay, large enough to store vehicles—hell, maybe even a smaller ship.
This wasn’t just a boat. It was a fortress. A relic of war. And now, it was mine.
Useful? Absolutely. If I could get the engines roaring again, this thing would be more than just a floating stronghold. It would be a weapon, a sanctuary, a second chance.
And judging by the eerie silence that surrounded me, the original owners weren’t coming back.
Their loss.
My gain. Hopefully.
Appreciating the boat made me forget what I was here for ahaha. After the last room opened and seeing that nothing is in there, I walked back to tell them about what I found... nothing.
