Chapter 26 : Nuno Sa Punso
Nuno sa punso - (literally, goblin of the mound) goblins or elves who live within mysterious lumps of soil (ant hills); provide a person who steps on their shelter with good luck or misfortune. The nuno is a goblin easily angered and will do harm to those who damage or disturb his mound.
If an invader destroys the nuno's home by kicking it, the offender's foot will become swollen. Nuno sa punso are also believed to inhabit places such as underneath large rocks, trees, riverbanks, caves, or a backyard.

After we received these, we stood still in front of the two creatures who kept on thanking us… I don’t understand them anymore, they kept on saying anything but I don’t exact know what they are saying.
“Excuse me” Darxi said as he lightly shoved me away as he cleared his throat “Give way to the linguist” he said
“What the heck… how are you supposed to understand them?” I asked as I moved giving him his space, so arrogant ahahahaha
“I learned Communication manipulation and linguist manipulation… let me try” he said as he winked at me… that’s disgusting, I just rolled my eyes as my response
“And how do you suppose that it’ll help us understand them? Your skill is for humans and not creatures like them” I said reminding him as I tapped his shoulder
“Well… they just said that we wait here for a moment and that they’d be offering us something…” he said and smiled at me as if he’s teasing me
“What the… is that true?” I asked in shock, he just pointed out the Anggitay who walked inside the cave. After a few seconds, she came out with all the jewels she probably hoarded
“Take this…” he said as if he just voiced out what the Anggitay said as it gestured its hands towards us

Wow that’s too many ahahaha I wonder what’s the use of these gemstones. This Anggitay really is a hoarder of jewel. That’s why those men and Lucio is after it. Unfortunately for them these stones don’t want them.
“Now that’s hoarding!” Raizen exclaimed as he received all of it
“Yea there’s a lot of it, like how do we use it? Only golds, silvers, coppers, and crystals are used as currency here. I mean what are we gonna do with it?” Vic said after Raizen rejoiced with what we all received
“See, I told you I’d understand them” Darxi whispered to me pertaining to what just happened
“How do you do that?” I asked him out of defeat
“Communication and linguist manipulation, I told you already…” he answered me smirking as if he’s the greatest person who can understand all languages
“It says here that we can sell these gemstones to travelers and shops in exchange for currencies, and we can also forge these gemstones to make specific items. Like for example, I need 200 jades to create a jade necklace” I heard Avery answered Vic’s question
“Oh… I haven’t read that, I’m sorry ahahahaha” Vic said, so I checked my pocket and read the description next to the item that we received
“Wait, the Sarangay has something to say too…” Darxi called our attention and pointed at the Sarangay who’s also gesturing his hands while moving his head indicating that he’s saying something

I looked at my health bar as it replenished. I remember we lost health when we fought that Tikbalang, good thing this Sarangay healed us for if not, I don’t know what will happen to us.
“Oh gosh, I almost forgot about of health… what will happen to us if our health bar goes empty?” Enzo asked as he noticed
“Are going to die? Shoot! What will happen to us if we die here?” Reiven asked after him
“No one knows, just be careful and be aware of your health no matter what… ok?” Elliot said answering the two of them

This Anggitay really is a hoarder of gemstones. I wonder if she gave us all, but I don’t think so ahahahaha but still this is too much. I wonder how we can make use of this. Only crystals, golds, silvers, and coppers are used for currency in this game.
“Now that’s hoarding!” Raizen exclaimed loudly as he received what the Anggitay gave
“Yea there’s a lot of it, like how do we use it? Only golds, silvers, coppers, and crystals are used as currency here. I mean what are we gonna do with it?” Vic questioned right after Raizen celebrated with his gifts ahahahaha I quickly opened my pocket to see if there are any descriptions about this stones
Ow there it is! It says here that we can sell this stones in specific golds, silvers, coppers, or crystals in travelers or miners who would like to buy it. We can also sell it to shops or trade it with some specific items.
A single gemstone of any type is equivalent of 10 golds, or 15 silvers, or 25 coppers, or 20 crystals. I checked every stone, and I noticed that these can also be forged to create such items. Like 200 jades can be forged to create jade necklace. Or 175 pearls can be forged for a pearl necklace, 200 moonstones for a moon pendant, or 200 ambers for a sun pendant.
250 diamonds for an air stone, 250 rubies for a fire stone, 250 amethysts for water stone, and 250 ambers for earth stone.

I quickly looked at my health bar, it’s in yellow alert. That means it’s in average yet I still have to make it full. I remember we lost health when we fought that Tikbalang. I felt worried about our health, what if we lose our health and faint here? What will happen to us?

After all of that, both the Sarangay and the Anggitay entered the cave implying that their business with us is finished. I took a deep breath and checked my pocket again
“Let’s keep going, it’s already three in the afternoon” Elliot said after gazing his watch and grabbed the map from his pocket
“Yea you’re right… let’s move” Vic agreed with him, we all stood up to continue our adventure in this forest. Elliot led us back to the path where we stopped a while ago. After a few seconds of walking, He stopped for a while and stared at the map he’s holding.
“What’s wrong?” Reiven asked Elliot
“Nothing, we’re just… we’re finally near to the next village” he answered as he pointed a specific direction that probably leads to the next village
We turned left as we followed Elliot, that’s the direction he pointed just a while ago. We just kept walking until we reached the last tree and then our eyes met the nipa huts that probably belonged to the village that Elliot is pertaining to. We walked for another distance and then we made it to the huts.
“It’s nice to get to the village at this hour of the day, it seems like we fastly made it here, and the night did not reach us in the forest” Raizen said as he continued walking towards the village
We walked right after him making it inside the village.
“Ouch! What the heck is this!” Raizen stopped as his foot stumbled upon something on the ground. We all stopped to check it, his foot is covered with soil, it seems like he accidentally stepped on an ant hill “Gross!” he added as he shook the soil off of his foot.
“Here, let me help…” Lucy said as she used air magic to blow the soil away from his foot
“Thanks” Raizen said and continued walking towards the village. I looked at the ant hill once more as I felt weird about it, I don’t know, but there’s something about it that makes me feel nervous for Raizen and for all of us. What is with that? Let me think…
My attention suddenly shifted as I saw children happily playing on the ground. The scene looked so delightful, I never experienced things like that… I spent my childhood at home playing with my mom’s phone. I envy those kids who had the chance to go to a playground to play with other kids…
