Growing up, I was always closer to my mom than my dad, while Clara was a daddy's girl. That didn't mean I wasn't close with my dad. I think in situations like this, however, it did give me a slight advantage. Sure, I was the baby, and I knew my dad would have just as much of an issue with any guy I ended up with. But I watched how Clara and Gears handled their situation with my dad and even watched as my mom fought on their behalf. In the whole situation, Clara never once sat down and simply talked with our dad, and I think that was her mistake.
