After the lesson, full of endorphins, she decided to walk along the Vltava embankment. Many tourists marked the approaching weekend at every step. She thought about how she felt when she first came to Manhattan. She remembered the excitement she felt - from a new environment, new people and the future. She remembered the first time she and Misha traveled downtown, how they enjoyed trips to Old Town Square and Vaclavák, and how they danced in clubs every Friday. Now they avoid the center by the arches, and the ideal Friday evening for her was at home with a movie and wine. She was beginning to worry about how she would cope alone so far away from her friends and family. At the same time, however, the same excitement prevailed in her, which she had before starting college. Beginnings are always difficult, but she knew that this experience would give her a lot. When she came home, Misha was not there yet. So she prepared dinner and watched her favorite series "Modern Family". She thought about how she would manage to pack in two suitcases for three months and what she should take with her. As the weather in England was unpredictable, she knew it would be difficult. She remembered how Aneta advised her to find her apartment on Google. She took the lease and entered the address into the search engine. Ancoats Village, was in the center of the city and according to articles it was the best neighborhood to live in Manchester. It consisted of brick houses. One of the apartments is hers. According to the layout, two-room, which surprised her. When she looked at the price that the company was paying for her, she was glad that she got away with it. Paige arrived when Sonya was ready to sleep, so they just greeted each other. By greeting, both indicated that they would talk about Misha's experience the next day. When Sonya woke up in the morning, she remembered that today was her last day. She was looking forward to how the stress she had been experiencing for the last month would go away. However, she will miss the people at work, despite the fact that everyone there pretended to be individualists, they were a good team. In front of the entrance to the building, she met Júlia, to whom she was supposed to sell all the clients. Júlia was the oldest member of their team and was only employed part-time. For this reason, she was only seen at work if something special was going on. Sonya did not like to work with her, as Júlia was able to sink even her best friend with her work and often let others do her work. Sonya was glad that Júlia would not be there with the new workload. "Good morning," Sonya greeted. "Good morning, I'm here today because of you," she looked reproachfully at her, "that's why we might as well get down to business so I don't have to hang around all day." "Alright, I'll meet you in the meeting room in fifteen minutes." Sonya was bored all day. What was that tone? How does he even afford it? Even though she was older, nothing gave her the right to be unpleasant to Sonya. If he has a problem with going to work, then let him not work. Sonya also wanted to get this meeting over with as soon as possible. Fortunately, selling Julia's clients was easy, mainly because Sonya had a separate file for each one, not only digitally, but also physically. Júlia was excited about that. They were done shortly after lunch and Sonya had nothing to do. She handed over her work computer and decided to bring some goodies to the team to make Friday better. She went to a nearby pastry shop, where she took the entire chocolate cake they had there. On the way, she stopped at a grocery store, where she bought a bottle of champagne. Colleagues were unhappy about her departure. She will miss her colleague Tom the most. Tom sat at the table next to her and always knew the latest gossip. This meant that Sonya also knew the latest gossip every morning. Tom was a Vietnamese who grew up in the Czech Republic from a young age. He was homosexual and made his orientation known loudly and often. When he was not satisfied with something, he performed theatrical performances and hugged all his colleagues at work every morning. Everyone loved him. "You monster, you didn't even tell me," he hugged Sonya hurt. "I found out yesterday. Do you want to go to the party today?" Sonya knew that this would get him. "I'm counting on that. Take Misha too! Shall we start with you and then Dlouhá?" Sonya nodded enthusiastically. It will be her farewell party with her closest friends. "I hope that Júlia will not claim your place as well. I can't stand sitting next to such a cow," he rolled his eyes. "Don't be afraid of that. She scolded me this morning that she only came here because of me. There is probably no danger of her appearing here every day." They both laughed. Colleagues gradually left and everyone said goodbye to Sonya with a big hug. At five o'clock, she also packed all her things from the table and left the tall office building for the last time for the next few months.
