“Are you okay?” Muffled voices filtered through my ear, but I couldn’t quite make out what they were saying.
I tried to open my mouth to speak, but no words came out. My vision was foggy, coming in and out of focus. My head spun. There was a throbbing at the back of my head, and I could hear my heart pounding loudly in my ear.
My head hurt like someone was hitting me with a hammer repeatedly. Groaning in pain, I roll over on my side, cradling my throbbing head in my hands. What just happened? One minute I was leaving, and the next I was flying across the room.
“What happened?” My voice came out scratchy, followed by a loud noise.
