Chapter one
Brian pov
I was done training for today, i was exhausted, but i knew i needed to get ready for school, i graduate in a few days and school would be done for me, that's when my dad is going to start training me to be the next king, i for one rather him stay king for a long time, i'm only nineteen and I still have about twenty years to go with my life before i become king, lately my wolf and lycan has been on edge, have i mention that i'm just like my mother, i don't have what she has but i do have a few with me, trust me, you will be shocked, I have a wolf name Alpha, a lycan name Cross, a bear name Blue, a tiger name Claw and a freaking bat name batty, i had tried to rename that sucker but he said he liked the name batty, You see, i shifted into my lycan form at the age of ten, I remember i was in my room watching tv when my body started hurting so badly that i curled up into a ball, than i heard this voice in my head telling me its going to be okay, that he would take my pain away, he told me that he was sent to me early because the moon goddess thought it would be safer for me, safer? no matter what he tried i still felt some of the pain, when my parents walked into my room they stopped in their tracks because what they saw in my place was Cross, my lycan, after recovering from shock my father walked over to me asking Cross if he could have his son back, I shifted back to my human form, my father was even more shocked when i shifted back with my clothes still intact, he picked me up asking if i was okay, i nodded as he hugged me, that's when they knew i was special, I had powers they didn't know i had. and i had to be careful, at the age of 12 i shifted into Alpha my wolf, it was like every few years i would shift, but the last shift is when i was sixteen, i shifted into Claw my tighter and my bat Batty, and trust me that was more painful than anything else, but i went through it like a pro, I took my shower, dried off and than got dressed, i had to hurry, i had a few days before school was out and i didnt want to be late, i still haven't found my mate yet, and i'm hoping i might find her soon,
‘Don't worry Brian, you will find her soon, i can feel it, Batty had said, its weird sometimes, because when he feels something that's going to happen it happens, its scary as h3ll but hey at least I know when to be careful when he says that. I decided on blue jeans and a black pullover shirt. my hair was a little long so i just left it the way it was, besides i like the wet look, i hurried down stairs to greet my parents, grabbed toast and drank some orange juice, kissed my mom on the cheek and ruffled my dads hair,
“Son, when you get home, i would like to speak with you, so forget about your plans after school,” I nodded and replied to him,
“Alright, will do dad, see you then, I hurried off to school. this made me wonder what he wanted to speak to me about, I haven't gotten in trouble at school for awhile, because all i want to do is get finish and graduate and finally be done with this s**t, I know i will have more responsibilities after i graduate, but that's just part of it, i don’t want to hurry in be king, i know some can't wait to be king, but i have a lot to learn before i do so. I knew my girlfriend would be waiting for me to pick her up, Lacey, i know she wants to be my mate, but i hated to tell her that shes not, since i turned eighteen i knew she wasn't my mate, i had told her this, she had cried in my arms, I told her one day she would find her mate and he would love her like it was the last thing on earth, what i think she is wanting me to do is to choose her as my mate, and i won't do that, i'm not in love with her, i love her but not in love with her, and i don't lead her on to make her think i do,
i knew she would find her mate and she would leave me like i would leave her, so i hold her at arm's length, When i pulled up at her house she got into the car, she usually gave me a kiss and say good morning baby, but today she didn't, something tells me shes in one of her moods, and i really don't feel like hearing it from her today, so i stepped on the gas to hurry up and get to school, that's when she laid the bomb on me,
Brian, I found my mate, I'm sorry but this isn't going to work.” i stepped on the break, spinning the car around with her screaming her lungs out, “WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING? ARE YOU TRYING TO KILL ME BRIAN???!!!” I knew she was lying because if she had found her mate she would had never gotten in the car with me, i stopped the car grabbing her by the head of her hair bringing her head toward me, i smashed my lips to hers kissing her hard, than i jerked away,
‘If you would had found your mate, you would had never gotten in the car with me and you would had never kissed me, this is just another one of your things to try and get my to choose you as my mate, it's not going to work Lacey, i have told you time and time again, stop playing this s**t with me. she huffed crossing her arms as we drove to school, she wouldn't talk to me the rest of the ride, and that's a relief, but i think i've had enough with her, when we parked in one of the parking spaces, she turned to look at me, and said,
‘If your not going to mark me and make me your mate, than i'm done with you, don't worry about picking me up after school, i'll find a ride,” my eyes lit up and she didn't like the fact i was heart broken, i really didn't care, i'll have another girl on my arm before the school day is over and she knew this,
“Make sure you get all your s**t out of my car, that way you won't have an excuse to get in here after school, so i stood there for five minutes so she could find all her s**t, she put everything in her purse, than stomped off, all i could do was shake my head, thank the goddess this was done, when i reached the building i saw my cousins shaking their heads a Lacey, they never liked the girl now i know why, I walked up and said hello to the girls, Katy and Candice, Wanda and rebecca, Katy and Candice were warriors, and there badass warriors, Wanda was the warrior trainer, and rebecca, we she was sorta my aunt, she is my fathers young sister, kinda weird, but hey whatever, she came up a few years ago when grandpa passed away and said that his father had affair long ago her parents got killed in a rogue attack so my dad took her inn,she was more of a sister to me than an aunt so i basically call her sis,
“Hey Cus, we saw Lacey stomping away from you. Did yall have another fight?” That was Wanda, I smirked at her and told them what had happened they busted out laughing when i told them she dumped me,
‘I'm sure your broken up about it, but not to much, i'm sure you will have someone else on your arm by the end of the day,” that was Candice, she knew me all to well, i loved the ladies, come on, let's get to class, im sure your mate will be waiting for you by your locker Candice,” Candice had found her mate a month ago, he was just like her smart and funny, and was a warrior, he was in training when they met, and ever since than they train together, they plan on getting married after graduation that way they can mark and mate and go to college, if thats what they want to do, we hurried to class, it was only a few days left anyways and some of the kids weren't even here, so this was going to be a easy day for me, i still wondered what my dad wanted to talk to me I knew I haven't gotten in trouble. Not today, anyway
