Alexander's pov.
Max was using all of his power, and at one point I was so close to turning that my fingers started to turn into claws. I was squeezing her hand so hard I thought it might break, but nothing seemed to be happening. I was starting to lose all hope when I felt her hand squeeze mine back and her heart monitor jumped up.
"Looks like you did it..."
Mark said with a soft smile on his face.
I stood quiet and lifted her hand to my lips and kissed it softly. I wasn't sure where it came from, but the feeling of tenderness was overpowering me. This trick with the wolves took out a lot of me, so I sank into the chair I sat in before.
