Amelia POV No one bothered me again until I reached the front door of Alexander's house, I guess because my face settled into the cold expression that I usually wore. It told everyone to not dare disturb me. While walking, my mind kept replaying the interaction with that little girl. That genuine smile… As I entered the house, I expected it to be empty, but it wasn't. There was movement in the kitchen, so I rushed up the stairs before who ever was in the kitchen noticed me.
