Maybe My Mate is Evil or at Least Less Evil Than I Thought?

Azara’s P.O.V.

The bath is amazing. Until all the sudden I realize that I have been in here for 2 hours. Oh man he said a shower not a 2 hour long bath what if he is back and pissed off about how long I have been in the bath for. Crap. 

I get out of the bath quickly dry off and get into my PJ’s. After that I dart out into the room, relieved that he isn’t back yet from talking business with his beta. 

However, as I look around the room, I realize that someone must have come in because there is a folder sitting on the bed that wasn’t there before. 

Curiosity killed the cat or in this case is going to kill the big bad wolf. I walk over towards the bed and look at the file. 

It is in one of those beige ugly file holders written across it is Damian Black. Then there is a little sticky note with not so great writing across it 

“Woman,

I don’t wish to discuss my folder with you. I will not go to that stupid councilling session, or discussing arrangements, because it is simple you are moving back with me. I will not have it any other way. However I do feel like you should know what your future entails, so I  have left my file on the bed and am allowing you the extra time tonight to read it before I get back.

I smile slightly at the note. (alphas are notoriously unreliable when it comes to the meeting of the mates. It really is’t all that unusual for them to want forgo the counseling and arrangements especially since their mate has to either move back with them or live separately for a time because an Alpha cannot move away from his pack. 

With that said I open his folder and start reading.

Pack Details:

This pack is located roughly in western Washington at the base of the mountain ranges. They experience a lot of rain and some extreme weather conditions, The pack consists of 650 members making them the second largest in the country. The pack seems to be thriving under it’s newest alpha and has all the amenities of the modern world. (you wouldn’t believe how many packs live without so much as electricity). 

Financial Details:

Wealthy. As alpha, Damian is the wealthiest in his pack. However his whole pack is on the  wealthy side. They have deals in constructions, retail, and Damian owns his own hotel chain creating a lot of revenue for the pack. In addition this pack has trade deals with 58 other packs throughout the country and 6 in other countries.

History:

His mother died when he was 6 right after she had given birth to twin babies. It is assumed that the father killed her. The father was known to be severely abusive especially towards the mother and youngest child. When at the age of 15 Damian found his father beating his little sister he killed him and then took his place as the Alpha of the Winter Waters Pack.

Damian found his first mate at the age of 17. Her name was Alaine she was 16 at the time. They met at the Meeting of the Mates. Alaine Santo was original from Red Vine Pack located in New Mexico, She scored: beauty 10, intelligence 6, strength 2, kindness 8. Alaine agreed to the mating terms but ultimately seems scared of Damian during their meetings, though it did not seem as though he had any intent in harming her. 

Alaine moved to the Winter Waters Pack and became their luna after settlements were reached. However 3 days before her mating ceremony she helped soldiers from her old pack sneak into her new pack in order to steal commodities that he pack desperately needed. It is not known if she knew the men’s real intent at the time or not however due to her actions the warriors were able to take 40 women from the Winter Waters Pack at which time they used for breeding due to the lack of ability to breed in the Red Vine Pack. 

Once, Damian found out what had happened he turned his mate into the authorities where she was then executed (holy crap he didn’t kill her, he just felt responsible for her death.)

(Okay wow after reading that whole thing, I understand a lot better. I am not sure what exactly the rumors originated from but I think I understand him better now. I feel a lot les nervous about him and to be honest I don’t think he is such a bad guy. I think he has been through a lot though and I am not sure how open he is going to be about having a mate again. I mean is he ever going to get over what Alaine did to him because if I were in his shoes I am not sure I could get over it.)
