chapter 23

Alyssa the human pov

i was just closing up for the night, it had been a long working day and i had to close the shop yet again, it was spooky out tonight since it was a full moon and it was almost Halloween, when i locked the doors i headed toward my car, I have heard about the supernatural but to me it’s all fake, there is no such thing as werewolves and werebears and such, its just a bunch of bull s**t to me, i walked toward my car and all i heard was howls, i told myself, its just from the full moon, there is nothing to be scared about, so i got into my car and started up the engine, i lived way back in the woods down a old dirt road in my own little house, sometimes i felt like i was being watched but i told myself hell if someone was going to kill me then come on, they will have a huge surprise with mace and a shotgun, i carry both at all times with a little pistol i carry on me, ever since the break in a week ago, i started carring the small little pistol and i got my licence to shoot it as well, i made a new friend that liked coming into my store from time to time, her name was Sammy, but i really didn’t like her much, she loved to talk way to much about herself, and she talked about getting married, the thing is i never see her with anyone, no hickies on her neck from anyone, and she doesnt even have a ring on her finger, so either she was full of s**t or he just did not want to give her a ring, or it could be a woman who knows i didn’t really care, i was drivng down my road when i saw the biggest f*****g wolf i had ever saw in my life, it stopped right in front of my car and i had to slam on my break, i quickly rolled up the windows like that would stop it if it really wanted to kill me it would had right then, it looked right at me with it’s light blue eyes, i looked back at it, i was very drawn to this wolf for some reason, but after a few minutes it ran off and i had to shake it off, damn that was weird and scary at the same time, i drove down the rest of the road to my house, i loved it out here, there was no one around but me and i could do what i wanted, i could plant a garden if i wanted or play music as loud as i could, I could walk around naked if i wanted, but i never did, i didn't take that much of a chance you never know what creep might be creeping around, so i had tinted windows you could see out, but you could not see inside, and i kept it that way, when i ran from home ten years ago i promised myself i would take care of myself and made sure noone would ever hurt me again, i made it home and got out of the car, i felt like something was watching me i hurried inside and slammed the door shut locking it in the process, i shut the blinds the windows might be tinted but it can still be sunny when the sun came up, and i don't feel like it having a glare coming through my window, i took a shower, ate, went to bed, i was exhausted from the day, there were so many coming inn and out, and i sold most of the shirts that i did, i had to do more tomorrow night after work since i am closed on Sundays, its just never that busy on that day, maybe three or four people thats about it so i decided to be closed on the day and make more shirts, i finally went to bed and i fell right to sleep having these strange wolf dreams off and on, it was just crazy, I awoke the next morning tired but i was wide awake, i knew tomorrow would be Sunday so i could sleep as long as I wanted, i decided i would make some wolf shirts, and diffrenet kind of others, who knows people might come inside the store and i will sell them out, who knows anything is possible

Haven pov

I was out on patrol once again, i was running after a rogue getting him off our land, he was a young pup so i wasn't going to kill him just scare him a little to let him know that he wasn't suppose to be on the land, I saw a car coming but i really didn't think about it i stopped right in front of it making sure the young rogue was gone, i smelled her, my mate I turned my wolf head toward the car and may i might add she was beautiful, she was human what would Blaze say to that, a human for a mate is that even possible in the morning i would have to talk to him and see what he would say, i didn't want to leave i wanted to shift back to my human side and go to her, but i think that would just freak her the hell out the lady had dark hair thats all i could make out of because she was sitting in the car, i had to snap out of it and head back toward the pack, I wasn’t sure where she lived but next time i will follow her and see, i just needed to see her again, for almost four hundered years i have looked for my mate, and all along i had to wait until she was born and come here, I ran back and told the others that the young rogue was gone, i scared him away,

Bates pov

I only wanted to see Blaze new pack the others told me to stay away because Blaze will kill me before i could even run away, i didn't want to be this thing they call rogue anymore i was tired of bathing in river water and waking up in different places each time i hated it, so i decided to go and find out what it was all about, i was looking around when i got chased out, it wasn't so bad but a huge brown wolf kept snapping his jaws at me and thats what scared me, maybe they were right i should had never gone there, but im not going to tell them that, i made it back to my hut, its just big enough for me, i noticed it was caving in a little bit so i got some leaves and some branches with mud, i just hope it doesn't rain before it dries up, i laid down on the ground, maybe i should go back and plea to them to let me see Blaze, because these guys right here are enough to drive anyone crazy, i didn’t even let them know i was back because they would ask how it went, i dont like to lie, so I would probably end up telling them everything and all they would do was laugh at me, im a eighteen year old punk kid, that didn’t like the pack i was staying with, so i left and ended up hear, now im regreting it, i turned on my side and wish this night would end, all i wanted to do was just go plea to him and beg to be let inside, maybe i would get killed that would just end it all, atleast i wouldnt be homeless and hungry anymore right,

Alyssa pov

it was almost closing time when this crazy woman Sammy was still in my shop, she would not leave until i told her i would think about coming over one day, she finally left a few minutes ago, damn didn't i tell her four times it was time to close up. This chick just does not listen, i locked the doors cleaned up hung some clothes back on their hangers, swept and mopped the floors and it was time to head out, i was very thankful I was closed tomorrow, i got into my car and blared the radio pour some sugar on me was playing and i was singing so loud that i was sure everyone heard me, i didn't care, i needed to stay awake on the way home and thank goodness that i didn't hurt any animals with my singing, i finally made it home and went into my house sitting on the couch i was just sitting in silence with no tv or anything on, i like to do that for at least a few minutes with no noise, i knew i wasn't hungry, i was never hungry when i get home from work. Well sometimes I'm hungry just not all the time. i was always to exhausted, i got up took a shower and got ready for bed, when i looked out the window i could had sworn i saw a huge brown wolf outside, i shook my head i must be that exhausted, I knew there were wolves around, I had seen them, sometimes they run right in front of me when i'm on my porch swing, i think it's pretty cool, but i also know not to feed them or even try and touch them, i don't want to get my hand bitten off, these things are wild and they need to stay that way, i might throw some stuff out for the squirrels or rabbits or the deer, but when it comes to the bears and the wolves, nope not a chance, I laid down in my bed in fell a sleep, I was tired alright, because i didn't even cut on the tv like i normally do,

Haven pov

I was close to the edge where i saw her the first time, I knew that i wanted to see where she lived so i set there in my wolf form hoping she would not see me, when i saw her car drive by i ran in the woods right beside her, she didn't even see me, her house was not even that far from our pack, s**t i thought to myself, could she had heard the howling on the full moon, on the full moon, all packs gather outside their homes and we shift and howl the loudest howls we could ever do, that's only on full moons, and if there are deaths of our loved ones we do that as well, but there much sadder howls, i waited until she was inside her house that's when i came out of the woods to look around and smell if there were rogues around, no there were no rogues but there were wolf not us but normal wolves that has been here, i could tell one female one male they were a pair, non aggressive just want to be left alone. no problem, leave my mate alone and there will be no problem, i waited until all the lights in the house were off i looked up at a window and i could have sworn she was looking right at me, but i wasn’t really sure. when she turned another light off, i did not see her at all, she must had laid down to sleep, so i decided to run home, i needed to tell Blaze, i could not keep this a secret anymore, i need to know where she worked at so i could go there and get to know her, i just couldn't stay in wolf form forever could i, Na, i don’t think so,
