After giving his orders at the Pack house, Azriel returns to his villa with a storm of emotions brewing inside him. Sky and James attempted to mind link him along the way, but he couldn't bear any more interruptions. With a sharp tone, he cut off their attempts before closing the link altogether.
“Contact me only if we are under attack, otherwise give me a break!” he added.
As he stepped inside his home, he found Lora in the kitchen, preparing a plate of food. The sight of her filled him with a sense of longing, but to his relief, she smiled warmly at him. "I hope you like some home-cooked food, but if you want anything else or if you already ate, it's fine," she said softly and a bit unsure.
