Chapter 29: The first page
Aria's POV
The first thing I realized when I tried to open my eyes was how badly my head ached. And it was closely followed by the rest of my body.
Where was I?
Was I alive?
Was this the afterlife?
My thoughts quickly felt foolish when I slowly peeked around the room from beneath my lashes, my head hurting too much for me to fully open my eyes and realized that I was in a room that looked really similar to the one I had stayed in the last time I was in the pack's infirmary.
Was I back in the pack?
How had they found me?
My question was answered when I looked to my left to find the last person I ever expected to be here, sitting on a chair that was resting against the wall, his eyes closed as he rested his head against the wall and folded his arms.
