Chapter 10: Do wolves eat humans?
Aria's POV
The silence in the car was so loud, I was sure that the sound of my heart thumping was the only thing that filled the vehicle.
When I glanced at Roma, I saw that he looked at me, particularly my bruised neck that I had hidden with a black turtle neck top. My hand reached out to touch my neck softly and when I winced, I saw his hand tighten on the steering wheel.
Did he regret hurting me? If he did, I would be surprised. Even my father, my own flesh and blood never thought twice before punching me in the face, so a little bruise was nothing compared to being unable to walk for days after getting beaten by my father during one of his drunken episodes.
