Asper Reign’s POV

“Hector successfully took down every member that belonged to Cerello Familia,” I said as I read Hector’s report regarding their operation a few nights ago. “Magandang simula iyon para sa laban niya kay Cloven lalo na’t marami-rami ding na-agrabyado ang grupong iyon. And as of now, there is a big chance that they will support Hector’s claim to the throne.”

“It only means that you and Hector were right to focus his campaign on handling every group that does transactions in this country,” Azure said.

“Naka-focus lang ang pamumuno ng mga Azaria sa kung paano nila palalaguin ang ekonomiya ng bansa.” Ibinaba ko ang tablet tsaka bumaling sa kanila. “They are giving more support in mining, manufacturing and construction which are the main industries that the mafia group has been using as their front business.”

Kaya naman hindi nagdadalawang-isip ang mga Azaria na papasukin ang mga grupo na kahit alam nilang itinuturing nang mafia dahil alam nilang makakatulong iyon sa paglago ng ekonomiya ng bansa.

At dahil dito, maraming sibilyan ang lihim na nagdudusa sa pamumuno ng mga mafia na iyon sa mga lugar na itinuturing nilang teritoryo nila.

Noon pa man ay sinusubukan na ni Hector na pagtuunan ng pansin ang problema tungkol sa mga mafia na ito. Pero dahil nagbabayad sila ng malaki sa mga Azaria ay wala din siyang magawa para pakialaman ang kaso.

Ngayon lang siya nagkaroon ng pagkakataon dahil may suporta siyang natatanggap mula sa akin at hindi siya maaaring pakialam ng pamilya niya dahil kasama ito sa task na ibinigay sa kanya ng hari ng bansang ito.

“So?” Azure said. “What are we going to do now?”

Naka-hold na ang lahat ng activity ng Rioghail dahil pinabalik na ni Jyn ang lahat ng miyembro niya sa kani-kanilang bansa. He basically wants to make his group disappear for a while and get off the grind while they are trying to find Dashyu.

Wala pa din naman nababanggit si Jyn sa akin kung ano ang sunod na gagawin niya kaya ako ang naghanda ng gagawin ng mga tauhan niyang naiwan dito sa amin.

“Asper will take the lead with this squad,” Jyn said, which made everyone turn their head on me. “We will not be able to do anything without knowing where Dashyu is. Kaya sa ngayon, asikasuhin muna natin ang problema dito.”

Napasapo ng noo ni Lair at Azure.

“Akala ko pa naman ay tapos na ang paninilbihan namin sa kanya,” naiiling na sabi ni Lair pagkuwa’y sumandal sa kinauupuan. “But on second thought, I guess we can take this as a practice on her leadership since once the two of you get married, she will also become our boss.”

“So, it is still about taking down Rioghail’s enemy, right?” pagkumpirma ni Azure.

Tumango ako. “Kailangan muna nating bawasan ang kalaban sa labas bago mag-focus sa mga kalaban sa loob.” Lumapit ako sa screen at nag-flash doon ang world map na mayroong mga red dot. “Ang mga red mark na nakikita niyo ay ang kasalukuyang lokasyon ng bawat miyembro ng Rioghail.”

Every member of Rioghail received a customized phone that they could only use in their transactions. It has been planted with different tracking devices aside from its GPS for Jyn to know its exact location.

With Lucky’s help, I managed to get access to those devices to monitor each member’s monitor. However, I don’t know who owns those red marks because it has been sabotaged by the traitors in their group.

Hindi na din kasi nache-check ni Jyn ang mga ito nitong mga nakaraang taon dahil masyado siyang nagtiwala sa mga tauhan niya.

I pointed at the Avenir Kingdom since most of its members decided to migrate there. “As you can see, most of your members have already arrived in Avenir. Some of them were still moving but I have no way of finding out who they might be.”

“Raj called me earlier,” Jyn said. “He took control over the remaining people we have at my mansion. He will take them with their investigation over the Azaria Clan.”

“Mabuti na iyong ginawa niya,” sabi ni Lair. “Biglaan ang alis natin kaya siguradong nagtataka ang mga iyon kung bakit hindi ka umuwi sa mansion.”

“Anyway, now that we already handle Rioghail, we will proceed to take down this list of enemies.” The list that I got from Hector flashed on the screen. “We already took down the Cerillo Familia. The Rogue already gathered information about the next group that we are going to take down.”

Napatayo si Schlain matapos makita ang impormasyon tungkol sa susunod na target. “Seriously, Asper?” Tumingin siya sa akin. “You are trying to take down a group that started right here in this country. Alam mong hindi iyon magiging madali.”

Tumangu-tango ako. “I know. Lalo ngayon na limitado lang ang pwersa natin.”

“May mga opisyal tayong mababangga dito,” ani Azure habang nakatingin sa tablet na binigay ko. “They have a lot of powerful palaces and local officials on their payroll.”

“Malaking grupo din ito, Asper,” ani Jyn. “Kahit may tulong ni Hector ay hindi natin basta mapapabagsak ang mga headquarters nila sa buong bansa.”

“Hindi din imposibleng maging hadlang sa misyon natin at ni Hector ang mga binabayaran ng grupong ito,” dagdag naman ni Lair.

“But if we manage to take this group down, higit tayong makakakilos kahit man lang dito sa loob ng Hexoria,” sabi ko. “Sila ang may pinakamalaking intelligence network na nagsu-supply ng impormasyon sa underground. We need to stop them with that.”

“Ibig sabihin nito, kung sinuman ang nagli-leak ng impormasyon tungkol sa Rioghail ay may kinalaman din sa grupong ito.” Jyn scrolled on his tablet and turned to me. “None of this information points to where their leader is.”

“The Rogue was not allowed to investigate this further because of the involvement of Hexorian officials,” I said. “We have to gather the rest of the information we need.”

I know it might not be easy so I had to involve myself in gathering this information. Besides, we are targeting this specifically because it poses a greater threat to Jyn’s life.

As long as they continue operating, Jyn will never be safe outside this place.

“So, these are the list of places that you need to investigate.” Isa-isa kong sinend sa mga tablet na hawak nila ang mga naka-assign para sa kanila. “I already prepared everything you will need. You can start your investigation whenever you want.”
