Chapter 15
Third Person
Eddie was in his office going over the pack’s finances after having spoken to the Elders about Stevie’s actions. Unfortunately, the Elder instructed Eddie to give Stevie a chance. As much as Eddie wanted to retort and fight their decision, as Elders, they held more authority, especially given that they were the ones who appointed Stevie.
Eddie’s thoughts kept going back to the night before when Kurt had forced him and Kalea to hold hands. He was annoyed that Kurt had an ulterior motive in trying to hasten the rejection. Kurt didn’t want him to reject her. No, Kurt wanted him to feel the sparks of the mate bond, knowing full well that the physical contact would force the bond to become stronger. Eddie was annoyed that he couldn’t get Kalea out of his head.
