“How do you feel knowing that Kalea will be leaving soon?” Kurt asked Eddie. After the birthday party, Eddie, Kurt, and Jared said their evening farewells and returned to his office at the packhouse. Eddie was restless once again and asked the guys for a drink before calling it a night. Hailey wanted to spend one more night with Kalea before moving her things to Kurt’s room in the packhouse. Kurt was okay with that. The guys sat quietly for several minutes before Kurt broke the silence.
“I don’t like it, but what can I do? It’s part of their protocol to have her coronation,” Eddie replied.
“Well, they extended a formal invitation, didn’t they?”
“Yeah, for him and him alone,” Kurt grumbled.
“You and Jared need to stay here and watch the pack while I’m away,” Ed
