Is this guy out of his mind? He hasn't taken his eyes off me since earlier; he's been staring at me while I'm lying here on the couch.
"You can sleep beside me if you want," Delvin offered, and I just held up my hand to him. "No thanks," I replied, turning over so I wouldn't have to see him staring at me.
But even though I turned away, I could still feel his gaze piercing through me. I could sense his eyes on me, even with my back turned.
I let out a sigh. "Are you sure you don't need to report this to the police?" I asked because if he was going to get into trouble because of me, it might be better to seek help from the authorities.
"No, it could cause issues and ruin my career." Well, he had a point. It was probably wrong of me to drag him into this mess.
