THE anxious face of her assistant was the first thing that Leonel noticed when Rosy entered the private office. The woman occupied one seat in front of her table. “What is it?” She asked. She momentarily stopped what she was doing. “A man was here moments ago. He was making an ocular inspection of the place.” “W-what?” “I told him that our contract is until the end of next month. Have you talked to the admin regarding our lease?” “I already sent an email last week. I told him that I want to lease the place for another year.” “Did you get a response yet?” Leonel shook her head. “Am I going to scout for another office space?” “Not yet. I’m going to speak with the admin. They might have overlooked my email.” Still worried, Rosy nodded. She stood up and marched towards the door.
