SLEEP did not come easy for Janni. She has always been a nocturnal person. She can think better in the wee hours of the night when most people were in the confinement of their beds. However, this time she knew why sleep has eluded her. The work that she brought home from the office was done. Attacked with boredom, she even did the grocery shopping online. She scheduled the delivery for tomorrow at eight in the morning. Her eyes went to the landline phone when it rings. She immediately get-up from the chaise. It was three in the morning and it must be an emergency to call her at this hour. She frowned when she did not recognize the number that appeared in the caller ID. She just watched the phone until it stopped ringing. “I know you’re awake. The light in the living room is stil
