Chapter Two

Louis

The whole car ride from the airport is quite intense. Or I might say the whole journey from L.A up to this moment is full of intensity, and its quite unnerving to be honest.

I cough a little and glare at the person beside me. "Mom, what's the meaning of this?!"

Josh is quiet behind us, but I can feel his nervousness too.

My mother just grin cheekily at me, and flip her hair. "Well darling, I want to make sure that you're really going to meet this woman. And of course, its been a long time since I've been in Egypt. I need to have a vacation too, you know..and oh, thanks for the free ride by the way..."

I let out a big sigh (which I think is becoming a habit now), and turn my eyes outside the open window beside me.

Its honestly quite hot, to my liking. But I know I can't tell that to my mother, because I'm sure she's gonna skin me alive once a single complain came pass my lips. And believe me, she will really do that.

The weather might not be the best, but the scenery is not that bad. Well, at least its different to the busy life that I'm accustomed to in L.A.

Suddenly, I yelp and even my mother let out a string if curses that I don't know she knew when the car jolt and stop.

"What's happening?" Josh inquire.

"Yeah, what's wrong?!" My mom exclaim quite tensely as she frown at the driver.

The dark man, who is the driver and a werewolf from the pack that we are going to turn toward us, and to our surprise he just grin evilly.

"What do you think?" He state with a broken English as he point a gun toward us.

My mother suddenly hitch her breathing as she grip my hand with her own.

"I think its better for you to drop the gun.." Josh exclaim coldly.

The man just shrugged his shoulders, as if my beta's build don't intimidate him.

"What do you want from us rogue?" I hissed through gritted teeth. And I'm sure that my eyes is turning yellow. My wolf don't like the tone of this lowly werewolf in front of us. And I'm cursing myself from not noticing.

"Actually, just a bit of cash. My group just needed the money, and luckily we heard that a wealthy Alpha is coming in the area. So why don't you give us the money and we can go on our separate ways, hmm?"

I feel my blood boil, as I clench my hands tightly.

"Why would we need to give you anything? You knew that I'm an Alpha, and I'm sure I can kill you before you even click the trigger.."

A sinister smile form on his lips. "You lot might get save, but how about the Shadow Pack?"

"You wouldn't dare!" My mother yell, as she glare at the man in front of us.

"Eh, but that's the plan. The Shadow Pack, where you headed is just a small pack and they don't have enough fighters that can stop my men from attacking them once they don't heard about me in an hour.."

Josh growl at him, but the man just laugh at us mockingly. Then suddenly, he was shot.

Bloods flow out from an open wound on his forehead and he slump head first on the car seat in front of us.

I'm quite sure too, that whoever attack him is quite good because I can't see trees or any higher places where he can take a clean shot and kill this guy.

"What the f**k?!" My mother yelp as she open the door and look around, following her I also step out of the car but I can't sense nor feel anyone beside us.

Josh whistle when he came in front of the car and saw the windshield which has a clean hole on the middle.

"Well, whoever done this really help us, but we don't have any time now. We still need to help the Shadow Pack." My mom exclaim through gritted teeth.

"And who do you think is the one at fault here?!" I huff annoyingly, just to yelp painfully when my mom smack my behind.

"Stop yapping and move your asses!"

Ugh... I knew it, I should not have come!

Not far from them a young boy on his early teens came out from a man made cave. His face is covered with mud, as well as his clothes. A riffle on his shoulders, as he slowly trudge towards a beat up car.

Opening the door, he hop on the driver seat. Standing because his legs can't touch the bottom of the car when he's sitting with his short legs, he start the car and drove slowly.

His place is not far from there, but because of his slow driving skills he arrive an hour later.

Huffing, he jump out the car and walk over his small cabin while pulling a large duffel bag.

Upon entering, he lock the door and slump down at one of his old sofa.

Pulling the heavy bag in front of him, he open it. A big grin plaster on his lips when he saw the small stash of money in the side, other than that its also full of different clothes which is clearly alien to him. A passport is also neatly piled on the other side with other documents which he had been working on since last month.

"Finally, I can go to America and find my father..."

We are all beat up, when we arrived at my private plane. Its a very tiring week, to be honest that I dont want to come back here anymore. The whole thing totally back fired on us. My mother is happy I know, but I'm very far from it. I'm actually annoyed by the whole thing.

Shanna, is a nice woman I know but she is not my mate which I've been actually thankful for. But unluckily for me she become obsessed with me when she met me, to the point that's she wants us to get married immediately.

The hell?!

I can't just marry a random woman that I just met, and seriously someone like her is far from my ideal woman who I wanted to become as my Luna. Sighing, I lean back on my sit and close my eyes. I'm starting to relax my muscles when it is suddenly interrupted by an intoxicating smell that waft through me.

My wolf starts howling happily. And a sudden excitement filled my chest, and there's a sudden desire to look for the source of that smell starts to blossom inside of me. With trembling hands I unbuckle the safety belt and stood up.

"Hey Lo, where are you going?" Josh ask with a frown while he begin to follow me.

I didn't pay him any attention as I begin sniffing the air. My excitement grew when I smell it near us.

"Louis, what's wrong with you man?" Josh exclaim with worry as he suddenly grip my arms.

But I just growl at him. I don't know why, but I felt my wolf become angry with him for some unknown reason.

"Hey man, whoa...okay.., just calm down! What's the matter with you anyway?!''

Soft click of shoes came toward us, "What's wrong with you guys?'' My mother's voice ask, then they begin to talk but I stop paying them any attention as I begin to walk again. Opening a door, a small make shift kitchen came to my view.

Walking around, the smell is all over the place. Heightening my senses, I heard soft breathing and a quiet heartbeat. My wolf yelp happily inside of my head, and my body just begin to move on its own as I quietly walk over a box which is situated in the corner.

"Hey Louis Caine Lexus! You stop right there and talk to me!" My mother's angry voice boom, but I don't pay her any attention as I slowly lift the lid of the box.

"Mate!!"
