24 Someone was knocking firmly and persistently on my bedroom door. I opened my eyes and saw beams of sunlight streaking between the curtains. The gargoyles were still asleep and snoring. It sounded a bit like someone blowing over the top of the bottle, musical and haunting. I rolled away from the door and buried my head under my pillow. I needed more sleep. After my conversation up on the hill with Spin, we'd both been pretty hungry and had devoured some tea and toast before going up to bed. I felt like I’d barely closed my eyes. "Go away.
