"Daddy!" Sheldon regained his consciousness. Denver then got down from Terrence's bed and went to attend to the boy while Terrence quickly fixed himself up. "I'm here baby! Thank God you're awake now." Terrence immediately held his little hand when he finished fixing himself. "I'm thirsty!" Denver pressed the button that is connected to the nurse station. "Let's wait for the doctor if they will allow you to drink already, okay?" Terrence then kissed his forehead. Sheldon's eyes landed on Denver's semi-exposed chest. He smirked and then looked at Terrence. "What did you two do while I'm unconscious?" He looked straight into Terrence's eyes. Terrence averted his gaze. "We're waiting for you to wake up." "Dad, I'm not a dumb kid you know that." Terrence was about to respond but the nurse came in to check Sheldon. "He can drink and eat now and maybe tomorrow he can be discharged. Let's wait for Dr. Chris Yap's say tomorrow. For now, he can continue to rest." The nurse said after she checked Sheldon then she left. Denver then called James. "I want a xiaolongbao." "But baby it's already getting late, the restaurants and even online shops are already closed," Terrence responded. "No worries Sweetie." Denver patted his shoulder then he turned to James. "You heard what he wants?" "Yes, Mr. Madrigal." James then bowed his head and left. In less than an hour, Sheldon's favorite xiaolongbao arrived with ramen and his most favorite cucumber salad. "Are you trying to impress me, Mr. CEO?" Sheldon asked, smirking. "If that's what you think buddy, then it is." He smirked then winked at Terrence. Terrence just shook his head while listening to the conversation between the two. The next morning, Chris Yap came to Sheldon's room. He checked the kid. Denver went early to the company as he wanted to finish all the papers he needs to sign and come back to the hospital and accompany the father and son when going home when Sheldon is going to be discharged. "He can be discharged today and he needs to rest for a few more days before going back to school." Chris Yap told Terrence. "Thank you so much, Dr. Yap." "Just call me Chris. I'm Denver's best friend." Chris smiled at him. "Thank you, Chris !" "Chris gege, can I have your number please?" Sheldon asked. "Sheldon, you don't have to." Terrence stopped the kid. "Don't worry Mr. Saavedra, it's fine." Chris Yap then wrote his phone number on a small piece of paper. "Here!" He gave it to Sheldon. "Thank you so much, gege." Sheldon winked at him then kept the paper. "Okay, any problem you send me a message okay?" Chris told Sheldon and ruffled his hair. "Yes gege. Thank you!" Terrence was just observing his son. He is very suspicious of why he is so nice to Chris whom he just met. "What is he going up to again?" He gave him a threatening look. Sheldon just smirked at him. "Dad, don't look at me like that. I will give you and your lover a very big surprise soon." Sheldon chuckled in his thoughts. After lunch, Sheldon was discharged. "Where are we going? This is not the way to our house. Terrence asked when they're inside Denver's car. He is sitting in the back seat with Sheldon and Denver. "To my villa." Denver simply answered him. "But why? We have our own house." "Sheldon needs people to take care of him while we both are working. You need to go back to work tomorrow." Terrence hasn't gone to work since the accident. "I can ask somebody to look after him. You don't need us to stay in your house." "And who are you gonna ask? You're that friend again?" Denver is talking about Dexter Garcia. "Oh com'on Denver, you're just jealous. Dexter Garcia knows how to take care of my son. He did that a hundred times already when we're in the US." "You have to stay in my villa whether you like it or not." "Haist....you..." Terrence didn't finish his words as Sheldon intervened. "You two made me dizzy. Don't you see I'm in the middle of you two then you argue like that? Dad, Mr. CEO I have just been discharged from the hospital. Uncle Chris said I need rest but now I think I want to go back to the hospital." Sheldon looked at them alternately on his sides while complaining. "Sorry son," Terrence said while glaring at Denver. The latter just ignored him and sit quietly. Few minutes drive later they arrived at the villa. The butler Benjamin waited at the main entrance with two helpers with him. Again there's that strange look from their eyes to Sheldon. Whatever they are thinking they just keep it to themselves as they don't dare to ask their master. "Uncle Ben, please send them to the room that was prepared for them." "Denver, let's talk," Terrence asked after he spoke to Benjamin. Denver then faces him. "How many times do I have to tell you not to decide on your own about me and my son?" "Few times." "Still you don't understand what I'm trying to say?" "Of course I understand. Only for a few days until Sheldon is much better. I know and fully understand you but I can't imagine a kid just discharged from the hospital will live and do the stuff alone while his beautiful Dad went to work. I know he is smart but he is still a kid who needs attention." Denver nonchalantly responded, looking at him intensely. Terrence averted his gaze as he couldn't stand the way Denver looked at him. His gazes seem penetrating to the core of his soul and made him weak. "Ok only three days and we will go back to our house." Terrence heaved a sigh and sat down on the couch. Sheldon was already gone with Benjamin to his room. The next day Terrence went to work with Denver. Sheldon was left in Benjamin's care. Everyone in the company was surprised to see them arrive together. They used the main entrance to enter the building. "Whoa! Since that new marketing director came. The CEO did a lot of weird things." One of the ladies at the reception said whispering. "I heard he went to the Marketing department a couple of times. At the office of the marketing director." The other lady responded. "Really? Do you think he likes the new marketing director? I know he is a man but the new marketing director is so handsome and pretty as well." "Didn't we have the rules here that working time is working time?" James's voice made the two ladies startled. "So sorry, Sir!" "You two are lucky that it's me who caught you not the CEO himself. If he does, you will lose your job right at this moment. So better be careful. And stop talking about other people's lives." "Yes Sir." The ladies then went to their counters. They know James, the most trusted person of their boss. And they knew that what he said was possible to happen. They will lose their jobs if the CEO sees them cheating on their jobs. Lunchtime Denver asked Terrence to have lunch with him. James did order their food. "Sweetie, eat this. Aaahh.." Denver took xiaolongbao with his chopsticks and tried to feed Terrence. "I can feed myself. I'm not a baby." Denver pouted and showed his puppy eyes. "Please." Terrence then opened his mouth. "Thank you!" Denver reached his chin and planted a peck kiss on his lips. Terrence then whined. "It's eating time, Mr. CEO. Please behave." Terrence glared at him. "I just can't resist kissing you. You're so adorable, my pretty marketing director." Denver chuckled and winked at him. They continue eating, enjoy the delicious foods in front of them when the door suddenly swung open. A lady in her red mini dress that almost shows her soul came in. Her smile was gone when her eyes landed on Terrence sitting on Denver's side eating with him. "Honey, who is he? I thought eating lunch in the offices is prohibited here and you're eating with a mere employee?" Alena Ang threw a glare at Terrence who was staring at her. "And you, you get out! How dare you eat with the CEO?" "Ms. Ang, didn't you have any manners to knock on the door before coming in? And who are you to say that to my subordinate? You have no right to command anybody here as you are not part of this company. Even if your family's company will merge in Madrigals, still, I won't allow anyone from Ang to do such things to my employees." Denver is so pissed off with what Alena Ang told Terrence. "And don't dare call me any endearment, it's creepy!" Terrence covered his mouth trying not to laugh at what Denver had just said. "Sorry Mr. Madrigal, I wasn't able to stop her to come in." James came apologetically to Denver. "Take her out!" He commanded James. Alena Ang refused to go out. "Let me go!" She's trying to remove her wrist from James's grip. "Drag her!" Denver raised his voice. He lost his temper. If Alena Ang is not a woman he might punch her face already. "You can't do this to me, Denver. I'm gonna tell you what you did to your parents. You know they doted on me and they will listen to me." Alena Ang threatened him. "Do whatever you want. Don't expect too much from me." "Whatever! See you at the engagement then, my future husband." She smirked and stretched her mini dress and left a loud click-clack of her stiletto on the floor. "Are you okay, sweetie?" Denver caressed Terrence's cheeks as soon as Alena Ang left. "Of course I'm okay." "About the engagement, don't worry about it. I'm not gonna marry her. I love someone else." "Really? May I know who the unlucky person is?" Terrence teased him while they continued eating their food. They didn't even lose their appetite with such interruption. "Hmmm...he is not unlucky but very lucky?" "Weeeh! Really?" Terrence chuckled. "Yes, he is! He is lucky as he can have me for his whole life. This handsome, young, and hot CEO will be his, forever." Denver pointed and boasted to Terrence. "Whoah! That's all?" "What else do you think?" "I don't know. I didn't see anything special in you." Terrence laughed as Denver pouted. "Really? Okay, never mind as long as that person is so special for me. Everything about him is special and I consider myself lucky to have met him." Terrence felt an exhilarating joy in his heart as he heard Denver's words. "You're special to me too." His unspoken thoughts. Late in the afternoon as Denver preparing to go home. James rushed into his office. "Mr. Madrigal, the engagement. Look!" Denver looked at James's phone screen. It's already spread all over social media. "Don't worry about it. I have my plans." Weeks passed and it's a day before the scheduled engagement party of Denver and Alena Ang. Everyone eyeing it as the occasion will be covered Live on television and even on social media platforms. Madrigals are the strongest and the leaders of all the biggest companies all over The Philippines. Ang Company is behind them. "You have to come with me, Sweetie," Denver said to Terrence while they're in Denver's private suite having coffee. "What?! No! I'm not even part of that engagement." "Please, I need your help with my plans." "Are you gonna use me?" "It's not like that. Please you will understand it tomorrow, just go with me please." Denver cupped his face begging with his puppy eyes. "Okay fine. But make sure I won't be in trouble or I will kick your ass." "Omg! Sweetie, don't! Not my ass." "Your.....your.....okay never mind." Terrence averted his gaze. He can't mention what he is trying to say. "My what, sweetie?" Denver wriggling his brows, teasing Terrence. "Nothing!" He tried to get away from Denver who was caging him on the single couch where he was seated. "Are you talking about this?" He took Terrence's hand and brought it where his pet is hidden under his trousers. Terrence's face flushed with a tinge of pink and took off his hand abruptly like burning. "Let's go home now. Sheldon is waiting for me." Terrence quickly pulled back his hand and tried to get up but Denver's lips met his and gave him a quick sensual kiss, pressing him down on the couch. "Sweetie, don't you ever know that you always seduce me? And my patience is almost loosened up? I can no longer promise until when I can continue to restrain myself to devour you." Denver whispered in his ears, his lips touching lightly, his earlobes sending shivers on his spine. Terrence closed his eyes as he felt a tingling feeling inside of him. "Let's go home, please Babe?" Terrence said after he heaved a sigh. Denver licks his earlobes before he stands up, distancing himself from Terrence. "Okay! Let's go." Denver loosened his tie a little and walked ahead to the door. The next day, Terrence is a bit nervous as he has no idea about Denver's plans for his engagement day. He is getting ready as Denver said he will pick him up and they will go together to the party to be held at Madrigal's mansion. "Dad, are you sure you're going with him?" Sheldon who is sitting confidently on the couch asked. "Yes, baby. Why?" "Nothing! I just wish happiness for both of you." "Sheldon ah, it's not our engagement. It's him with the woman." Pain flashed on Terrence's face as he mentioned it. "And you still love him even though he is going to engage with someone?" "Yes! I don't know why." "How about my other Dad? Did you forget him already? You don't want to find him anymore because you already have your CEO lover?" "Sheldon Ah, I don't know where to start looking for him." "You start where did it happen!" Honk! Honk! "Denver is her son. I have to go!" Terrence then kissed him on his forehead then headed towards the door. "Dad, I wish this would be the happiest moment of your life," Sheldon shouted before Terrence opened the door. "Silly!" Terrence laughed as he turned his gaze to Sheldon. "How can this be the happiest if the person I love will be getting married to someone else." He thought as he shook his head. Sheldon on the other hand, when he knew his Dad was already gone he dialed a number on his phone. "You're ready, Uncle?" He asked the person on the other line. "Good! I'll wait for you here. Bye!" He then hung up the call and run to his room. Madrigal's Mansion People from the business world came with their luxurious cars and elegant outfits, matching the luxurious and extravagant preparations of the host family- the Madrigal family. The garden in front of the mansion was decorated with fresh flowers under a large canopy. Chairs and tables were arranged beautifully and an isle is provided in the middle of an array of chairs and tables. It looks like the setting of a garden wedding. The Ang family arrived with their daughter Alena in her elegant gown shimmering with the sequence. Press people quickly aimed their cameras and microphone to interview them. "Mr. Ang after the engagement, did your family and Madrigals already decide the date for the wedding?" A woman from the group of the press asked. "Well, that would be one of the things we need to discuss today with my daughter and Denver, her fiance." Mr. Ang proudly answered looking at Alena who proudly held her head up high like telling everyone how proud she is to be chosen by Madrigals for their heir. "We heard a rumor that Denver is against this arranged marriage. What is your reaction to that Mr. Ang?" A man in his thirties asked. Everyone from the press turned their stares towards him. Mr. Ang threw glares at him but he just ignored them. "Mr. Ang?" He continued and while giving a signal to the cameraman next to him, his partner. Mr. Ang faked a smile. "Since you are here, I will prove to you that the rumor is not true. Denver will be here soon so better wait for it." "He will be marrying me soon so no rumors like what you said." Alena Ang stands in front of the guy and boastfully denies the rumor. The guy smirked. Henry Madrigal and Criselda Madrigal welcomed the Ang family and accompanied them to the tables intended for him. "Auntie, Uncle Denver is not here yet?" Alena asked. "Not yet, honey but he is on his way now." Criselda Madrigal responded. The cameras are flashing and flickering capturing the moment of the two families. Other guests are busy talking about their businesses. One of the topics of other businessmen is about the recent participation of the TS Company in the bidding which won by the Madrigal Company. "Until now we don't know who is behind the TX Company. It's not a strong company like Madrigal and Ang but they are very competitive. Recently, they closed the deal with an international company and I heard that they're growing globally." One of the Madrigal investors said which gained an awe reaction from the others. "I heard it too. They're like small businesses here in The Philippines but in other countries, they're growing quite fast." Their conversation stops when the press people suddenly rush to the gate. Everyone turned their stares at the entrance where two handsome guys are standing being interviewed by the press. They're none other than Denver and Terrence with James behind them. "Mr. Denver, who is this guy beside you?" The same guy in his thirties asked while staring at the two hands intertwined to each other. Denver with his usual stoic expressions answered. "He is a special person in my life." He then pressed Terrence's hand made the latter startled as he was surprised with the group of press people who welcomed their arrival. He is not used to having cameras in front of him so he looked down to hide his face. "James ?" Denver called his assistant. James then quickly asked the press people to put down their cameras. They then moved back to give way to Denver and Terrence. Terrence tried to remove Denver's hand from holding him but he tightened his grip on it. Alena Ang stood up with her smile ready to walked towards Denver but she halted and her smile faded suddenly when she saw Terrence's handheld by Denver. Denver went straight to the stage with Terrence that made even his parents. "Denver, what are you doing?" Criselda Madrigal asked, almost whispering in her son's ears. "To announce my engagement but not with the Ang heiress." "No! Don't do that. Don't put this family in a very shameful situation." Criselda Madrigal said while glaring at Terrence down to their intertwining hands. "Hello everyone! I know you're all here to witness this so-called engagement party." Press people focus their cameras and microphones closer to Denver on stage. It is this big news to everyone to just see the young CEO right on their TV screen so most of them are covering Live on television and social media. "There's no engagement between me and Alena Ang. This guy next to me." He raised Terrence's hand. "He is the man I love. He is the man I wanted to be within my whole life." Terrence's mouth wide opened as he didn't expect this as Denver said he needed help for his plan. Henry Madrigal and Criselda Madrigal were horrified on their spot upon hearing what their son had announced. "Denver!" Everyone turned to where the voice came from. It's from Henry Madrigal whose face is covered with anger. The camera's flickering and flashing to capture the drama of the well-known family in the country. "Are you insane? You like it or not you're going to marry Alena Ang and not that man. And you, from which family you came from?" Henry Madrigal pointed to Terrence. "I'm sorry but my family has nothing to do with the issue here. It's just between me and Denver." Terrence confidently answered. "What is your name?" Criselda Madrigal asked. Terrence felt like he was under interrogation like a criminal. Interrogated with officials that he is already being judged before asking a question. "Stop asking him. It doesn't matter who he is. This engagement is canceled. There's no wedding between me and the heiress of Ang." "No! Denver you can't do this to me. Are you out of your mind? Did you replace me with a man? And what these people will say is that aside from him being a man, he is just a mere employee in your company. A low-level individual who seduced his boss." Alena Ang hysterically spits out insulting words against Terrence. Terrence cannot hold his temper anymore. "Alena Ang, I'm a man. Yes! But insulting me and accusing me that I seduced my boss is too much. I didn't study in a prestigious university in the US just to seduce him. Though I don't have the wealth that you all have." Terrence pointed to all the people in front of them. "But I have manners that most rich people don't have. Like your disgusting manners. Don't judge me Alena Ang or you might swallow your words and pride in the future." "Who are you to insult my daughter?" pointing fingers at him. "You pointed fingers at me but did you ever realized that your daughter insulted me first?" Terrence responded. "Sweetie, enough. They're just a waste of our time." Denver whispered to him. Clap! Clap! Clap! Everyone turned in unison when they heard a small clapping of hands. Everyone move back as they saw a small kid walking confidently wearing an elegant grey terno while a smirk playing on his mouth. Behind him is Denver's best friend Chris Yap. The kid went straight to the stage in front of Denver and Terrence who both froze in great astonishment with his sudden appearance. "Sheldon!"
