Jax's phone rings, and he glances down.
"Mark's ringing, Jax."
He nods, just looking at it. Maybe if he ignores it, Mark will ring Roxanne, and she will tell him. He watches the phone as it stops ringing, hoping he doesn't call back. Melodie stays quiet as she cleans and covers the cuts on his back. Five minutes later, his phone begins to ring again.
"Clearly important, Jax. Don't ignore your father-in-law."
She laughs as he shakes his head, his finger hitting the answer button and putting it on speaker. Jax looks at Melodie and puts his finger over his mouth.
"Hi Mark, everything okay?" Jax sits waiting, his mind hoping that he says he knows but of course, he doesn't.
"Why wouldn't it be, Jax? Are you free to meet for a drink sometime?"
