"You said you wouldn't leave me alone, Jax. you promised." She looks at him, his head shaking.
"I'm not. I can't do two things, Melodie. I can't stay with you and find out where that guy came from. I can't take you with me either. If they are following him, then you will be in danger. Your dad is sending someone here to watch you. Dale has someone here moving Dexter's body and cleaning up. I can't risk taking you with me, Melodie." He can't. His arms pull her to him.
"Promise me something, Jax."
He looks at her and nods. "Anything for you baby." He will regret that. He can tell just by looking at her.
"Promise me you will come back here for me and stop running away scared. I am happy, Jax, being just your submissive. I just need you in some way." Jax nods. He can do that.
