THE ASSIGNMENT

The start 'Once apon a time ' woah woah woah wait a minute this isn't the right book if you really think your not scared to read this we will see about that here we go 2018,. California "mum, I'm not going to a stupid summer camp I'm fourteen!" screamed Amelia "yes you are now pack your bags it will be fun think of it as an adventure" As Amelia's mum tries to excite her "I don't care if it's fun none of my real friends are even going because they said it's boring and lame, I don't want to be called lame in school next year if people find out!" "oh Amelia your friends should respect your choices and also you will make new friends" "Mum this isn't my choice, it was never my choice ugh!!" Amelia's mum's face went bright red in shock that she spoke to her mum like that and that she really didn't want to go. Amelia starts to pack her bags slowly and throws clothes in her suitcase not knowing if she will even need half of the stuff. Tears drop on her favourite t-shirt As pain and sadness pops into her mind about leaving her home for a few weeks But why? She thought to herself why am I so sad and upset that I'm leaving it's only summer camp even though I really don't want to go I may as well make the most of it though, right? There's a sudden knock on her door "hey Amelia, you okay? I just wanted to check up on you look I know you don't want to go but.." and before her mum could finish Amelia says "no, no it's okay I want to go now, I mean I may as well right?" "oh, oh that's great okay well get packed" As her mum sees the mess in the suitcase she immediately tips the suitcase out and removes all the clothes and folds all the ones Amelia may need. 13.15 pm (at the house) "I'm packed finally, I'm ready to go!" Amelia takes one more look at her room especially her bed knowing that bunk beds won't be nearly as comfortable. The family gets into the car and starts to drive to her summer camp with the radio booming her favourite songs and Amelia staring out the window actually enjoying the scenery and not her phone (for once) They all finally arrive after an hour's drive And they drive into the forest entry way As the sign says 'castra tua somnia' Appernetly that was in Latin but they knew nothing about Latin, why would they? Bright, green, tall trees surrounded the area of perfect looking soil and it looked like a healthy environment and in the distance you could see cabins with older kids running around. "right we will get you signed in okay Amelia and then you have fun!" Says mum and dad "oh okay" "hi this is Amelia sachins for summer camp" explains amelias mum. "yes that's you ready to have a great summer" as the lady at the desk smiles with a forced smile. "okay bye guys I'll see you all in a few weeks byee" As Amelia is forced away from her parents. "so what does the sign say in English?" Amelia asks the lady which her name is Mia. Mia ignores Amelia and just starts to show her her room. "here is where you will be sleeping with these three kind girls. Now get unpacked you have a big day tomorrow and here's your uniform please hand me your phone it will be safe don't worry" "oh okay no worries here" "hi welcome so I've heard your Amelia well I'm jess. Jess had beautiful chcolate brown hair and cute freckles and a gorgeous smile. This is Scarlet. Scarlet has soft blonde hair and seemed quite shy but still sweet and a suttle smile. And lastly this is Lisa. Lisa had very dark brown hair and dark eyes but seemed friendly and kind too. Amelia had alot of simalarities with these girls Amelia had light brown hair, light freckles and a soft gentle smile. "well thank you jess for introducing me to these girls you all seem so nice" "here place your suitcase here and your bunk is with me your bottom is that okay?" says jess "oh yes any bed at all is great haha" Jess nods and smiles back "so any horror stories here before I get comfy because I will try to have a good and easy summer here" "well we actually can't talk about this camp like at all there's cameras in this room even in the bathroom i know it's illegal but the people that own and run this place don't care. this is an all girls camp as well just to let you know" Explains jess in fine detail "okay but does anyone know what that sign says at the start it's in Latin and well I don't know Latin" As Amelia explains "no one knows except one person the owner of course she made this place I think I've said enough I'm sorry" Amelia can see jess's face go pale and scared and the whole rooms tension goes way up. "okay I won't ask anymore" As Amelia lay awake on her bed she just started on top of her bed wishing she was home she sensed something wasn't just right. Concentration camps were definitely not around anymore so this couldn't be a come back for another one Amelia tried to think of everything. As the night went slow her mind went fast oh how she wished to be home again she knew she would miss her own bed, her own room and her parents. As the room was silent she heard chuckles and laughter in the distance like it was outside in the forest. Amelia stood up quietly and tiptoed to figure out the front door was locked, but no one locked it? "jess, jess wake up why is the door locked, jess!" as Amelia whispers to jess A sudden bang on the door makes Amelia's face turn socked and worried. It turned out to just be the owner, Lana. "girls you better be sleeping or else" Amelia rushed back to her bed luckily Her bed was the bottom bunk so it never made much noise and it was easy to access. She wondered what the 'or else' would be What the sign said and if this place was a torture home. She thought that say may never know, if she had her phone she would feel safe knowing she could call her mum at any point but that wasn't the case here. As the morning became to rise the girls all got ready at 7.00 in the morning as their alarms were forced to be set at that time and they weren't allowed to be changed EVER! "so amelia how was your very first night?" "uh well you know quite strange to say the least" "oh why Amelia?" asks jess "well I heard sounds and lana banging on the door" "oh really well the forest is always very quiet at night always. And lana never ever bangs on our doors that's the only thing she respects about us." Explains all the girls "anyway don't worry let's go and eat breakfast which is porridge slush it's horrible but it gets us ready for the day lana says it's great for the mind so we will see haha" The all walked down to breakfast together and sat down at the usually long tables and sat on round plastic seats and got served their porridge which the girls liked to call slush the got a drink of either water or water which I think I would choose water.
