CHAPTER EIGHTEEN Bait sat outside of Headmaster Johanson’s office, his right leg crossed over his left leg and his arms crossed in front of his chest. He glanced impatiently at the clock above the Headmaster’s office door and saw that he had been waiting for about ten minutes already, even though it had felt more like twenty minutes. Now, normally, Bait was not one to be impatient. Unlike Switch, Bait was good at waiting for the things he wanted. He didn’t feel the need to get angry when things didn’t happen as fast as he liked, nor did he feel any pressure to demand that things go faster. That often led to conflicts between him and Switch, particularly whenever they were awaiting something they wanted, but by and large Bait’s patience had served him well in his young life and he knew it
