ELSIE
Brett's avoiding me. That much is clear. And unless I want to be the girl who doesn't make the first move, I know I have to do something about it.
I don’t know how I’m going to deal with the Kayla aspect of it all, but I decide I’ll cross that bridge when I get to it.
After the night of Dresden's party, days go by without a single glance from Brett. Sure, I know he's busy with baseball practice and beating off girls like Becca Hamilton with a stick, but I know he must have a life outside of it all.
I've taken to checking out of choir practice early. During the day, I jot down the shortlist of songs I'd like to sing for the Christmas showcase this month, and to no surprise, they're all about Brett.
On Brett-less day three, I head to choir practice, crossing the Rivers
