CHAPTER 9 BRETT It's a pretty short drive to Dresden's hosts' house for the party. It's in a neighborhood just a few miles away from my parents. The houses here are both a bit more old school–Tudor-style. The terraced, manicured grounds are lit up with white Christmas lights dancing among the trees. If I weren't commanding the wheel, I'd be tempted to roll down my window and suck in the cold crisp air. Instead I'm trying to go over the details of my plan.
