It’s been five days since I spoke or saw Letty, she is been calling me continuously, I know she is in her home and she is not out for these past five days, I guess she is grounded, I didn’t attend any of her calls or messages for the past five days, I need time to process all this information, it’s not easy now. He is here.

Riley Reynolds, he is back.

How?

I remember clearly what happened that day, when I saw Scarlett with her friends surrounded by the predators, I was so mad and angry what could have happened to her, when I moved there to see; it was Riley Reynolds, how could he be there, it’s more than 250 years, ya may be more than that, he is alive after all these years. What does he want from Scarlett now?, how he is here anyway?

“ Adam, don’t confuse yourself, you have been like this for the past days, Scarlett is calling me continuously and I’m neglecting her coz of you, better you call her now, she is really hurt Adam”, Sasha hissed at me.

“ Sasha, you don’t know who Riley is”, Jake defended me and looked at Sasha, “ I don't know him but he should at least answer Scarlett right, he cannot run away like this”, she looked at him annoyed.

“ Sasha is right Adam, you can’t avoid her, I can understand, I know you are confused, even me too, but you should speak with her, she is been grounded Adam”, Mike said to be gently. Yes me, Jake and Mike knows Riley before years. Arrrgh, Whatever, Letty is suffering now.

That’s true I can’t run away from my responsibilities, Letty will be suffering alone coz of me, I should call her today, “ Yes, you are right, but Riley, how he is alive Mike, it’s been more than 250 years, we thought him to be dead, but he is here now, and he is behind Scarlett and me, why, after all these years?”, I said in a confused tone.

“ That’s true, he is not dead and he is behind Scarlett, how long he is been back of us”, Jake looked at me thoughtfully. I jolted and looked at Mike, “ Mike, did you read his thoughts, do you know why he is here, did you find anything when you saw him that day?”, I asked him narrowing my eyes. Mike can read his thoughts.

“ He is very clever to hide his emotions and thoughts Adam, he is not that easy to read”, he looked at me pissed, “ We are missing something Mike, something is clearly wrong, how did he know about me and Scarlett, he clearly knows us, well he knows me still, how can he forget his cousin”, I brushed my hair in clear frustration, it’s confusing.

“ Yes, he is up to something, Jake did you alert the guards?”, Sasha asked Jake, “ Yes, I have. I have even sent some extra guards surrounding Scarlett territory”, Sasha and I nodded at him.

I stood from my place and moved to the door, “ Adam , you should call Scarlett, she would have been so scared and confused”, I stopped in my track and turned to see Sasha, “ I’m going to meet her, don’t worry Sasha, I will take care of her”, I smiled at her, “ Are you going to see her now?”, I nodded at her and opened the door, “ Are you going alone?”, Sasha snapped at me, I looked at her and nodded my head, “ Yes, why? Is something wrong?”, I looked at everyone, “ You can’t you know, the Alpha is already angry on you, and he is clearly pissed about you, no us, and he would do something to you if you there alone, we are coming with you”, Sasha moved with me.

“ Woof, it’s okay Sasha, no need, Mike can you come with me?", I looked at Mike, " Of course", he smiled at me, "I’m fine, he is coming now, don't you worry”, I defended myself, “ Whatever, you both, update me whatever happens there, if you are not back within an hour, we will be there, you know it’s not safe to be there Adam, get some guards with you”, she said firmly without giving me options, “ Okay, I will”, I said with a smile and moved to the lift.

We entered the car parking and saw the guards waiting for us, “ Follow me and be at a distance”, I ordered them and moved to open the car door, Mike moved to the passenger seat, I started the car and drove towards Letty’s mansion.

I looked at Mike, who was silent and was thinking something. Mike didn’t speak with me, not even a single word, it’s unusual, he is always cheerful and he always put smile on others face, he cares about others more than him, this is the first time I’m seeing him moody. I looked at him but he was in his own thoughts, “ Everything okay Mike?”, I asked him but he was unresponsive, I touched him, he suddenly jolted looking at me, “ What happened?”, I looked at him surprised, “ Nothing Adam”, he sighed heavily, “ Just spill out, it’s not you, what’s bothering you?”, I took the highway and drove towards her home.

“ Riley is back, but why now?”, Mike asked out of blue, “ True, that’s what confusing me badly, how does he know Scarlett?”, I brushed my hair and looked at Mike.

“ Adam, you know him, and what he is, how can he fake his own death for all these years and why did he went hiding from us?”, Mike looked at me very confused.

Yes, of course we know Riley from our childhood, may be he knows us when we were born, since he is our paternal uncle’s son, yes, he is my uncle’s son, I knew him from my childhood, he was very clever than us and quick witted I have known him for 20 years, but after my uncle and aunt’s tragic death, we thought he was also dead but he is alive here and looking for Scarlett, why.

“ Adam, he is here and it’s something to do with you and Scarlett. We are missing something and he knows Scarlett’s father very well”, I nodded at him, “ Did you look at Riley’s face when he saw the Alpha, he was very confused, he did ask him how he was alive, what does it mean?, Alpha knows him but he is telling he doesn't know him why, and Riley has something to do with Alpha in the past”, Mike nodded at me.

We are being followed; Riley is been here for so long, I didn’t expect Riley here and he didn’t Xavier, and he being an Alpha.

But what does he want from me now after all these years and why he needs to hide from me? Where is he now? What is he up to?

" Mike we need to gather as much information about Riley before he does something again, he is not good, before he could do something to Letty, we need to find why he is here?, what does he want?", I looked at the road. Letty nothing will happen to you, I will do anything for you, whatever it takes.

" Ya, I will call our private detective team to investigate this", Mike took his phone and called the team. I need to find out why he is here, and where he is now?

When I entered her territory, I suddenly felt a warm feeling that made me smile, I know its Letty, who will think about me other than her, she is the one to think about me always. I’m coming for you darling wait for some time, I smile at myself and drove towards her mansion quick.
