Annie's POV Brenda never returned, and I awoke cold and shuddering. However I realized the room wasn't cold, and I was buried underneath the blanket. So I asked why I was conscious at a particularly inconvenient time and freezing. Throwing the blankets back, I got up. It was as yet dim outside, and I asked why Brenda wasn't back.
