Jeffrey's POV The sun had barely risen, casting a dim, gray light through the windows, but I had been awake for hours, pacing the floor of my office. My mind kept drifting to Kenneth, locked away in that hellhole of a prison, enduring God knows what. Our fault, Kai growled. My wolf’s voice was a low, menacing rumble inside my head, vibrating with restrained fury. He’s suffering because of us. I clenched my fists, trying to stay calm.
