"Okay, we are in my office now. You are on speaker phone." Jamie spoke towards this desk where his cell phone was now lying flat.
He had me in his lap as Ray stood outside the door, guarding it for some strange reason. I suspect it was for Rylan..
Apparently, this was the call we had been waiting for.
"Mrs. Sinclair, it is a pleasure to finally be in your presence..even if it is only by phone." The man laughed lightly, surprising me with his warm words.
"Th-thank y-y-you." I responded, making Jamie hold me tighter as I tilted my head back before gazing up into his eyes.
